Dude nobody has no idea where anything is going especially into 2030 . Regulations etfs blackrock there’s way more factors than previous cycles . You can’t say the top 100 gains are all pretty much gone . Yeah from the bear market bottom maybe

Usually the steelman version of keeping a portion rather than selling all is to keep it as your "moon bag" - not "because it feels right" but because "what if you're wrong and it goes up a lot more after a wave down." The probable proper response to that is to at least shed it after the bounce. But then one gets into the trader situation: you have to be gud enough at reading charts to discern when the bounce will be just that, the lower high (like in early 2022) and when it won't be. That said I agree with you I don't plan on holding alts - I'd rather re-acquire promising projects in the bear (whether ones I had or new projects). But I hope I'm rite!

One major thing is promising coins need purchased during the first mid bear/bull market and you have to hold regardless hold until next bull market. Example flare is cheap you can spend $200 and hold and in the next bull run if you hold it could be who knows but you have to hold just forget it .

I was trying to explain to a crypto trading friend of mine the other day…and he just doesn’t get it. He says, “I don’t have much money, but I’m just gonna take little bites of BTC and hold it.” I told him, “You know, I put in $6k at the bottom (all I had)…I’m up to $20k…and I believe I’ll end up with well over $100k near the top of the bull cycle. I’m then going to take that $100k…and let’s say BTC drops to about $35k at the bottom of the bear market, I’ll buy almost 3 BTC…and then hold onto that until BTC dominance drops (probably in 2028)…sell and buy all alt coins again…and then sell everything near the top in 2029….well over $1 Million (from my $6k beginning purchase).” He looks at me like I’ve lost my mind.

I think you've entirely missed the mark on this one. Last cycle, everyone I came across intended to sell somewhere near the top and buy back in at or near the bottom of the bear market. Everyone. It's impossible to know when the top is in - that's what you have no idea is coming and that you'll have no idea how to handle. It seems simple in theory but in practice, your first cycle will destroy you. Why? Because every influencer you follow will continue to scream the top isn't in yet. (They make most of their money from you via ads, KZfaq revenue, etc. so they don't want the party to end.) You'll believe them because they've been right so far. (Everybody is right in the bull, market goes up.) By the time you realize what's just happened, the bear is in full swing and you are left holding your bags. No use in selling then unless for tax write offs. An in depth video from that point of view would be invaluable. Would you do that video please? The gaslightjng they spread on their channels now is spectacular - you'll think they played the last cycle perfectly and never mention the blow off top they screamed about last cycle. It's like that never happened.

This video is over simplified and not how it actually works. 1. Your port is going to be diversified, noone buys 1 alt coin, sells that one at a 10x then wait till the next cycle. If you do this then you're one of the extreme few, the only exceptions are basically BTC maxxis coz BTC is the ONLY coin that the entire market revolves around so its always a safe bet. 2. SOME of your projects MIGHT do a 10x while others could just go sideways or LOSE value i.e 50-90% retracement so really, if your Hbar actually 10xed, alot of that will be to cover losses in ur other investments and vice versa. 3. This also assumes that u sell your ENTIRE port then NOT BUY again until the bottom of the bear, 99.99% of people will not do this so alot of your gains is there to offset ur losses. So if you actually average everything out, you're doing VERY well if you walked away with a 2-5x on your ENTIRE port THEN bought back at a very low price during the bear AND the projects u bought went up another 10x and you repeated, this is EXTREMELY difficult and 99.9% of people fail to 10x their entire port every cycle.
