As a huge 2099 fan I’m disappointed in ML. The appreciation and detail that went into the retro card was great and the fact they know not to give him web hands is good but no crawling or claw hands is ridiculous. I feel like they forgot how action figures worked Gwen is the only figure I may get from this wave.

Spiderpunks Vest: FNSM = Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. They even gave him a powerchord hand for the guitar in true punk fashion.

As someone who knows guitars they got spider punk’s guitar wrong. In the film he has a les Paul style guitar but they gave the figure a Stratocaster.

I just realized that the miles suit is inaccurate to the movie. Must've been an early concept that Hasbro got and thought that would be the suit...or maybe he gets a new suit and this is a spoiler lol

these are probably the most accurate figures Hasbro has produced in a long time, but SHF is coming with Miguel also... so easy pass.

Whenever I get figures I just use some acetone and a qtip to remove the serial number on the foot or wherever it is. Just make sure that the plastic is molded and not painted

I’m pretty sure that the reason why these have window packaging is because these were supposed to come out around the same time as the October release date of 2022, which is about when they stopped doing the window packaging and I think they just kept that window packaging and didn’t change the plastic free, except with cyborg spider woman.

When I found out they were making a 2099 figure in the new lineup I was so hyped until I saw it ngl I'm pretty disappointed so I'm making one myself lol

Great video David ! I REALLY want Spider Punk but /even though I love the film and art style , I really would much rather have the og Ml Spider Punk . I'm def gonna scoop him on clearance. I really would love a Spider Byte and a few other variants but I'm sure they will come sooner than later. Neca makes 10 pks of bases that you can easily put the hole in any of these figures shoes and get them standing great . Not sure if anybody said yet but the back of Spider Punks vest stands for friendly neighborhood Spider man . You DEF need to read the newest 5 or 6 issue run that just finished . It's AMAZING !

My thoughts? There's serial number stamps on Miles and Gwen and they're not as faithful. I'll give it to them on having the right body type, mainly with Miles. They went wrong giving him more red lines, not part of the suit and the symbols aren't as clean. Gwen not having the right eyes. Only Marvel Legends Spider-Punk and 2099 have accuracy. The figures not standing is a issue. The cape on 2099 doesn't look great. Limited accesories are disappointing. SH Figuarts Miles and Gwen are actually accurate and don't have those numbered stamps on their thighs. Plus they're higher quality with more movement and extra accesories making them worth getting.

For punk, mine seem to start gapping after posing. How do you fix warping and returning it to mold? Hot water, squeeze than cold?

I decided they weren't worth it a few months ago cause of this wave... Which is sad cause I started collecting comic figures because of Spiderman and ML's huuuuge line up. But after a while it's easy to get burnt out, and with how Hasbro bounces around with the way they articulate their figures and reuse the same old thing millions of times I got siiiiiiick of spending so much on nothing or on a figure that has the same technology as a figure from 2015 there's no reason for that at this point. Seeing the new Miguel with that ugly ab crunch and hip swivel was sad and then seeing everyone else, man.

i hope i can find Spider-Punk on sale because as much as i love his design, im not paying like $40 cad for a figure so lacking in accessories

So, no QC issues like Dungeon and Dragons animation figures? They are all very thin because of animation style. They seem like the lower end toys, but with premium prices.

Bought Gwen and Punk...waiting for Miles and 2099 to be on clearance, but I highly doubt 2099 will be. I saw a bunch of Spots and Gwen at one Target. Jessica Drew is a great sculp, but after seeing a lot of the YT reviews, she is not am action figure (almost zero articulation).

If the Miles had accurate paint work instead of using slightly different concept art it would be near perfect for the proce range. I'm customising mine to be film accurate, because damn, it's annoying that everyone else is movie accurate yet Miles uses outdated art, even the packaging used the correct design, but for some reason they painted the figure completely wrong, especially the back logo. The front is passable but the extra red lines and back logo are insanely wrong

I'm a huge fan of these characters and their designs - but here's the thing. Marvel Legends have gotten more expensive while also keeping the accessory count very low. I'm tired of having to search for fitting hands, making/buying unmasked heads and other accessories, when they should've been included given the price. So, naturally, you'd look towards Figuarts. But me, owning a lot of their newer figs, I see consistent and bad QC issies across different lines. Particularly bad plastic quality & breaking joints. Then there's also Miles who doesn't have basic fists, despite being a 70-80$ figure. And then there's Miguel that goes for anywhere between 120-135$ for one single figure. I know he's bigger, but I don't remember any if the recent Broly or Thanos figures being this expensive, even though they are bigger then Miguel. I don't feel like spending my hard earned money on a greedily produced low quality product. It's not a fair exchange either way, particularly during a recession when there are more pressing issues. So, to me ... even these figures aren't worth it. It's going to be money spent on wasted potential, lining the pockets of people who don't care a about collectors. You can express your love for something more productively and for less money 🤷🏻‍♂️
