​@@rabeaw6646 first of all there's a ton of printed tiles and pieces in the set already and second these are stone statues that didn't have anything on their legs in the movie so the designer probably went okay let's not waste money printing the legs of these statues and put more printed tiles inside the set to add detail where a printed title would be more useful

While the recorses to make a set are minimal the prices are shocking. They would still make a hiiiige profit if they print everything, yet they still use stickers under tge disguise that you can rebuild if you have stickers and not prints, for 500 bucks they could print EVERYTHING and throw in 4cents of extrapieces without print

Its at least double or triple the price then other sets (im not talkig about copycats but other buildings or such) this big from a different manufacturer. And the quality is at least 95% of lego. So the plastic and manufactoringprices are small, you dont want to tell me that a licens is worth 200 bucks? Legosets are way to expensive and the core idea of what lego used to be is lost. Combine that with what lego (the company not the brick) is doing on the european market and you have a shitty firm allaround

@@rabeaw6646 Again, what do you expect... Stickers or not LOTR fans will still buy this set. It makes no sense for Lego to go out of their way to print all these very specific paintings etc since they cant reuse it for anything else. You dont think the cost of dedicating machines all over the world to print a handful of licensed pieces that will never be used again wouldn't add to the cost? I'm sure if given the option some people would gladly pay premium for a printed version however if that happens how do you pick and choose what licenses get this special treatment? They can't possibly keep up with all the printing they'd need to do to cover all these themes and some id imagine cost a lot more to do than others. Don't get me wrong, seeing a sticker sheet in my sets fills me with anxiety but i'm not going to act like it has ever been a deal breaker... would argue for adding a spare stickers sheet in larger sets however. Also this set has a bunch of new molds and printed tiles, it was bound to be expensive from the get go.

@@LouisTheFlyVids One machine can do an endless number of different prints, it's not like a mold where it can only be used for one thing. Mega have been printing all of their details for years now and they're still cheaper than lego.

And that the hardcore fans pay that much is part of the problem and the only reasaon lego feels entitelt to overcharhe that much. The "can be used flr other stuff" yes that was legos original idea, that is lost. You really think someone is buyimg a 500 bucks set ans then builds anything else? Even if that was the argument they could just throw in some unprintet extrapieces, would cost them pennys at most. Lego is good for one thing, making zhe maximum amount of money on a minimum of quality and creativity
