I honestly genuinely enjoy the role, doing damage is great and all, but I enjoy frustrating the enemy team by imposing my bulky self between them and my squishier teammates, while said teammates do what needs to be done. Also it’s always satisfying to peel someone off of my carry or mid, right when they were sure they were getting a kill.

I actually grew on the role when no one else wanted to play it so now playing support is fun to me

Just started playing, been gaining Khepri as support. Love using Abduct on enemies trying to spawn camp and pulling them into our defenses to get lasered and tm8s fresh off heals coming running out to help.

Just do it that’s what I do. Most people understand what we are doing. I come in lane take a wave maybe stay and help with the second then leave. IF they are telling me to fuck off I still leach because again it won’t hurt them that I take some farm but it could lose us the game if I’m level 12-13 and their solo and support are 18 and 20.

Since the midseason that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. (only like 3/4 of the time now, still the easiest to get though)

In my 3+ years of playing only one time has someone tried to get support when I did. We both sat there, dumbfounded trying to figure out which of us were gonna switch.

T.T RIP hunters if you see a kephri without a warriors blessing ur fucked... especially if it cant rotate to mid or solo within 5 min of start. MIght as well go leave ur support to die and help the warrior that actually bought support items like warriors blessing and the relic to teleport to towers... cause thats the only lane ur winning if ur support cant hang with the rest of the team from the get go.

Depends who you are going against. Thats the thing with builds you cant always use it because people can build against your items

Im a simple person.. I see a hunter support I feed it to the enemy as guardian.. or mage adc. Better yet.. I pick warrior support and they dont pick mage adc and instead go hunter... I dont tank the whole game I just watch them while I kill minions :) Tough love it hurts... but it teaches

@@abombinabowl i was half joking. Play what you want to play. It isn't like you are going to no longer like playing those other gods. Better yet make a game of it and try to use those gods in the support role even if it is an odd choice (but definitely be aware of potential downsides )

TBH play whatever feels good to you, rather than forced to play a god that you do not like.Seems like you are pretty new to smite so take your time and try every role till you eventually settle down for a role. Well if you find support interesting you can learn both support and adc to cover 2 roles that go together in lane. Believe me there is nothing worse than an adc/supp main stuck in solo(which will happen).

I see it mainly on Gods that HP tank and troll. Mostly that nonsense is on Yemoja or Geb. Mainly gods that have relatively good kits that doesn't need cooldown or damage to heavily. Sadly these days I rarely see someone pick a Guardian or support focused god. Alot of people going duo with a burst Mage and a Hunter or an Assassin and Hunter. Even saw two mages in duo once. Its annoying how insane burst is since the recent updates and changes.

You cluld kinda go either way. If you go lonos I would add isolation so her ult can have a refreshing slow on it to help with secures. On a side note I did an Olorun support the other day. It was fun

@@kriegaone3658 it won't just be used on her ult. It would proc on all of her abilities as they all do damage. Its just with her other 3 abilities having utility as well as damage her ult gains some as well

Honestly I find so long as you're running Thebes and relic dagger you're probably gonna be fine. Just about everything else seems optional, I mean I've built transcendence a couple times as support and done great with it because the comp allowed it

I will quote what TheOtherFrost says: "Just because you can win in laning phase, it does not mean you can win in teamfights" Except if they really want to f6 at 10.My god i have seen MANY people surrendering at 10 mins because they get killed by good early game gods. When the lategame comes their comp crumbles, who will peel the carries, who is going to initiate the teamfights, after 30 mins whatever lvl lead they had now is gone and now pure teamfight is all that matters. In casual conquest people want short 10 mins surrenders or one sided pomp stomp, anything else is unacceptable and should give up. You are using this mentality to your advantage since they cannot think how the game will be like in 10/20 mins latter.

@@StealMySongs Chang'e support is awful. Aphro support isnt great but can work. Baron Support works if you dont get hard countered by root immunity, can get past the early game and have an actual frontliner in Solo.

@@StealMySongs grow a brain.. if you get a mage support you just need a physical base carry... any warrior assassin or hunter will do if your good with them. DOnt need a hunter for carry role... infact it hurts your team if your team has a healer support and mele carry and you wanna roll up with a hunter in solo or mid.. you just cost your entire team a fight cause unless your hunter can box with warriors blessing all game and tank ur not gonna matter much ur just gonna be that dude stealing gold and kills adn taking towers faster trying to prove a point that hunters are carry.... when in reality you just suck at every other god in the game and need to be a hunter carry sad......

The only real support is a healer and teleport relic.... bruiser supports are more fun cause they can tank its pretty much putting ur fav tank and solo build in duo lane if you wanna be a bruiser tank support. But a proper support is a healer like aphro, yemoja change ect... lets the carry ( aka warrior or assassin get strong in their glass cannon builds) A hunter really doesnt even need a support unit unless they are just trash.... if they cant solo duo lane they suck... they cant carry and they cant defend. I Wont even share lane as a hunter carry Ill leave duo cause its just dumb and waste of time to fight for gold adn xp against your support that cant even hurt anything.... I go help mid and solo till the support dies or learns its job and rotates to help team then ill go solo duo lane with my hunter... if my a non traditional carry like a mele carry its nice to have ur support till level 5 so you dont get bullied dived or out farmed too fast cause its going to happen... cause ur not a ranged carry. you will have to make ur gold by making better plays and ganks... unless the enemy is just complete morons and always stay in their lane while ur whole team death balls everything.

Tbh i would look at an aggressive build on him. Only build thebes as your true support item and the rest I'd say build bruiser. He really isn't a great support and is a much better solo

Cdr boots thebes breastplate void stone ethereal/divine mantle/spectral for Cthulu. Sell your boots for a situational item (magus or defense etc...).
