Lack of sleep & quality rest is a great distractor from your health, even when you're young. Following the sleep cycle (sun up to sun down) is very much in your own interests to stay healthy physically & mentally. Please take good care of yourself, you're still young, recovery can be rather quick, even just a few days a week of regular sleep schedule will allow your body to recover. GL

I'm sad when you said that South Korean aren't warm enough maybe because we are really not used to smile to strangers or talk to strangers it's because korean tend to be really shy that's why dont get wrong we really welcoming tourist just our shyness does make you think koreans are not warm

Awee don’t be sad! I think people here are somewhat like people from North East US cities, just less angry haha. In Philly if you smile at a stranger it’s weird, & maybe that’s just how it is here to. Doesn’t mean people aren’t nice but just at face value they aren’t super warm. I love cultures like in Philippines, or Latin America where people are just smiley & chatty with strangers for no reason haha, & this is me coming from Northern US!

It will be interesting to see which country you end up in next! Happy to see you making the best your experience in S Korea even though the vibe there doesn't quite resonate with you. Travelling can be like that sometimes - not everywhere you visit will uplift you in the way you hope it might, but you know you don't have to stay so might as well enjoy the parts of it that you can. It's probably not what you want to hear, but settling down long term in one place massively helped my mental health. When I knew I would be in a place permanently, I finally felt that I could set down roots, become part of society, and not feel that I'm just floating on the surface of cultures that I have no connection to. Traveling around and experiencing new cultures is fun, but it gets exhausting and depressing. Idk whether you plan on staying in Korea permanently or not though so feel free to ignore if it doesn't apply to your situation. Oh also, as someone who also hates the cold, I highly *highly* recommend against living in Korea during winter. It's cold AF (but sunny almost every day).

Hahaha I actually chose against teaching in Korea because of the weather! Culture as well but the weather was a huge factor for me. Eh we’ll see, honestly I think it’s just Seoul & I still have lots of places I want to see. I have yet to have a place I want to settle down in although when I do like somewhere I may stay a month or two to take a break. everywhere has a difference vibe and I’m just super out of line here with the city life & it’s not as easy to make friends unlike in Taiwan or more Southern countries.
