Wow, you uploaded right on time when im having problems with mixing my vocals bcoz it sounds too boxy, and i suspect either EQ problems or my heavy use of reverb. Im even using your recent video "mixing vocals autotune trap" for reference!

Boost at 3k and 10k

Reduce 200-300, or 600-800Hz to remove boxiness and boost 2KHz to bring the vocal more upfront

Great video. One of the best things I learned here long time ago was to sidechain reverb and delay to the vocal in different channels, you can even apply 2 or 3 different reverbs and delays in different channels and then make different effects through the song with automation.

I think the best way to send your signal to FX Channels would be to use the Fruity Send Plugin after sidechaining your track to the different FX Channels. You get way more flexibility and ease in automating your Reverbs and Delays and can also Solo them without needing to unroute your Vocal Channel with the Mix Bus .

I have two ways of doing reverb and delay, either through a send channel that I mix in parallel or a bounced wav file of the wet reverb signal that I mix in with the original signal

Hey Max! ❤ How about fruity controller with this one? With dynamic living reverb. That's how you have been showing it with one of your video. Does it work with this method? Love your content, keep it coming. When I follow you I reallly think & feel like I'm studying to become producer. Because, with you, I am. -Future academy member. (I know the guestions usually belongs to the academy members. But I am very curious also with that first plugin: Automation volume AND BREATHS because I have been suffer little bit that, basic generic bleeding and cutting breaths sometimes catch my ears in result, and not in a good way)

Learn to hear frequencies, it should take less then 10 mins to mix anything. If it takes longer then you probably can’t hear frequencies
