This is a perfect example of why you should go to whale viewing areas in the wild during the season that they show up to see them in their natural habitat instead of buying a ticket to a park to see unnatural behaviors.
@deamy5186

True. I also support captivated animals to be freed into their habitat. But about your statement of whale viewing, unfortunately not everyone can afford that. I cant help to think, logically speaking, going to seaworld is cheaper than going whale viewing to their real habitat. For example theres hardly ever whale in my country, and people should spend moneys to go to another country just to join whale watching, but not everyone can afford that. Thats why dolphin attraction is so popular here. I'm more convinced if you say we still can study about the captivated animals through internet without have to go to seaworld. and if we have previledge we can afford for whale watching in their habitat to. I'm not offensing you, just elaborated a little bit since your statement cant be applicated into everyones life. *sorry for my english. Still learning hard of it

There is! These whales largely stick to the shores! Lighthouse park on San Juan Island is a perfect viewing spot! You can go kayaking and see them! There are so many ways to do so! Watch the Disney documentary on them! There’s whale watching excursions too! But everyone should experience the pure joy of these intelligent creatures in their natural habit! This short anime is 100% true. I am lucky, we live in Seattle so we can often see them even from peoples homes and offices! Any of our islands and inlets and they also are often spotted from the ferries! It’s breath taking and a privilege!

@@NyYannaPlays Cetaceans can be rehabilitated. We have proof of that with Keiko or the dolphins that were released by Richard O'Barry. Keiko was a clear success, he lived 7 years free, met other killer whales, hunt and recovered from his illness while during that time 22 killer whales died in captivity and he would undoubtedly have been the first to see his condition before his rehabilitation. We also have the story of Stumpy which gives hope because while he is disabled, 5 different orca pods not speaking the same language saved Stumpy. We can imagine that wild orcas teach former captives how to have a life, they are largely social enough for that knowing that they even have an area in the brain reserved for socialization. And if not, the sanctuaries already in existence and those to be built in the future will form a perfect alternative where cetaceans that can be rehabilitated will train and those who cannot will have a well-deserved retirement. In short, young and fit cetaceans can perfectly be rehabilitated and those who cannot have other much better alternatives than staying in the chlorinated pools of dolphinariums where they crumble under the sun, are fed with frozen fish and endure the cries of the spectators and loud music by making often painful shows

@@NyYannaPlays If I answer you, it's because you yourself have answered a lot of people for nothing but lies. Also, I know that Keiko didn't stay very long with the other orca pods but he always stayed several days with them and traveled several hundred kilometers with these same pods, we have pictures of him having fun with them. If these pods abandoned him, it is only because Keiko did not speak the same language as them. And your lie of "cetaceans won't know how to hunt" is totally false since Keiko, Rambo, Rocky, Tom and others.. succeeded. Moreover, I know that your answer will probably be that the current orcas are for the most part born captive and therefore impossible to rehabilitate, as most pro-cap people think. But, Keiko was captured as a baby, so he didn't knew anything about the ocean yet, he was kidnapped too early for that, so we can perfectly compare him to the captive born orcas that exactly like him spent most of their childhood in captivity. Finally, I would like to add that now and thanks to the future marine sanctuaries for orcas, the former captives will be able to meet each other and learn each other's language, so they will not abandon each other if they are rehabilitated. No matter the size of the pool, it will never be big enough. A dolphin swims up to 100 kilometres a day in the wild. As for an orca, up to 250 kilometres away. And the sounds that the two emit also go several tens of kilometres further. Killer whales and all other species of dolphins cannot have fun hunting, they only have frozen fish that they enjoy regurgitating instead, they also cannot use their sense of echolocation except by getting their heads out of the water. Otherwise the sound that will bounce off the walls of the pelvis would be extremely strong and would return directly to the animal which, given the exceptional hearing of the odontocetes, would make it suffer. And they can’t have fun swimming at high speeds, they barely accelerate as they are blocked by a concrete wall. Let us add to this the sun burning their fragile skin because they cannot go deep and have no access to the shade, the cries of the spectators and the music at the shows which are moreover painful, the repeated attacks between the animals, catches in the wild of dolphins and even more rarely of orcas that continue than Japan and I’m not sure about this information but I also believe in China and therefore the separation of entire families, and many other things... And you get *HELL*

No, this is Tokitae ( or Lolita). She was captured from the wild when she was a baby and is actually suffering a lot, alone, in a tiny illegal tank of the Miami Seaquarium. She is actually 50 years old and lived all her life in the same tank of the Miami Seaquarium. I really want to see her in a marine sanctuary..

@@NyYannaPlays But, Cetaceans can be rehabilitated. We have proof of that with Keiko or the dolphins that were released by Richard O'Barry. Keiko was a clear success, he lived 7 years free, met other killer whales and recovered from his illness while during that time 22 killer whales died in captivity and he would undoubtedly have been the first to see his condition before his rehabilitation.
