II Corinthians 5:19 NKJV Jesus said unless you believe that I Am he you shall die in your sins. Now that word he is in italics which means that the word was added it was not in the original manuscripts. So it should read, "unless you believe that I Am you shall die in your sins." Jesus also said, "Before Abraham was I Am." Jesus is the name of the I AM! Jesus is God.

RoboKnight37 You can fly into several cities in La., including Alexandria but have a layover in Dallas, Houston or Atlanta with pretty much all of them. Chicago to Lake Charles via Houston would be pretty good but you would have a 100 mile drive to Alexandria. I used to live in La. near Alexandria and live in Humble,Tx. near IAH. You could probably fly straight to Houston and drive to Alexandria (@4 hours) in the time your layovers would take up and cost less for airfare by flying non-stop into a major airport. You will have to rent a vehicle to get around in Texas and/or La. any way you cut it unless you fly into Alex and Uber around. Everything is bigger and much more spread out here than up North or in Chicago. Public transportation is poor at best and non-existent in many cases because it isn’t feasible.

Baptism in water is not just symbolism. Baptism in water in the name of Jesus is one half of the baptism of the New birth. It is in baptism, that is of water and of the Holy Spirit that we take on the name of Jesus. Without this obedience to the word of God we cannot inherit the Kingdom of God because without His name we cannot be joint heirs.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. We must obey the Word of God.

@@bradleydaniel4740 by the way baptism is not a work. Are you doing the work of washing away your sins in the water? No God does that because of our obedience. Are you doing the work when He fills you with the Holy Spirit? No, that is God doing the work. These are not works, it is obedience to the Word. Faith requires obedience.

You need to read the bible carefully. Read Romans 3:23. This body that we have is always at war with the Spirit ans sometimes we sin unintentionally through our thoughts and by sight and therefore you need to repent as often as you can. Even the pattern that Jesus gave us on how to pray its all there.

Paul said, "I die daily." What did he mean? He was saying he repents daily. So yes the Bible teaches daily repentance.
