Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is well during the pandemic don’t forget to practice good hygiene. This was my one month process with the ordinary! In one month I didn’t see any drastic results but i love how it made my skin feel clean and soft after so I definitely will keep using hopefully this is just the face where it’s purging my acne out :( I hope y’all enjoyed my video What other video you want me to do? I think for most people it's fine but if you have very sensitive skin maybe be cautious, when I used it after the peeling solution it stung a bit

You have pitted scars. Niacinamide mostly works on pigmented scars (which is not your case). You should try tretinoin, or retinol based products or medications. Your skin might show some pretty good results by the end of 4-6 months of routined usage. I'm a medical student and a skincare junkie and I love Hyram too! ❤️

Will the ordinary 0.2 (or 0.5) retinol in squalane help?

@@nikkibriels6403 Yes, absolutely. That's an excellent product. However, a skin with no retinol experience should always start with a low percentage (0.3% or less) and gradually increase the level (0.5% and then 1%), else you might suffer from redness, peeling, and sensitivity. The Ordinary's Retinol in Squalene is excellent for sensitive and dry skin types.

I have a lot of pitted scarring too....would you recommend using the red solution from this video along with the retinol 0.5% in squalane? Skin care is confusing for me and I don’t know what’s good and what’s not 😭

This is unfortunately not true. At best, tretinoin will improve the most superficial scars and it would take years of continued use to see minimal improvement. No medical literature support your claims. Three to five months???? Not even in your wildest dreams.

There seem to be a lot of dermatologists on here commenting. Niacinamide is safe to use with everything. I love the ordinary products. Mandelic acid is a great active - I love it from The Ordinary 💛

Michelle Vyanca yess!! It’s actually recommended to use after the peeling solution, to hydrate and cool down the skin, since the peeling solution is an extremely strong acid regarded product.

What’s the difference between mandelic vs lactic acid or glycolic?? I’ve been using the lactic acid 5% from the ordinary for a few months but I feel like it isn’t doing much. Do you recommend the mandelic??

You should try the lactic acid 10% it’s really gentle it’s for acne scars, redness and oil, use it everyday at night and keep it on over night , you should start seeing changes between 3-6 weeks

For your skin, use the peel twice a week, the niacinamide Every other day for Day n Night. Itll work better. Use the product for several months. Your face looks alot healthier, cleaner, so the product is working. Using the peel (red) twice a week for first 6 -8 weeks, youll notice a more aggressive change. You have alot of scars, so itll take awhile. Im 54, and its amazing on my skin with both products. Its tighten my skin, removed 70% of wrinkles an lines. I love this Product.

i would put a more of a thin layer on just because how strong the acids are. it will work WAY better, it needs to be VERY thin so the mask will look very light pink and transparent almost.

The aha 30% works ! I’ve been using it for about 5 months now and it got rid of all my texture bumps and has really helped my hyperpigmentation make sure to wear sunscreen though !

That’s too much of niacinamide! You should need no more than 3 drops for your entire face. If it feels sticky and tight after you’ve applied it, you’ve applied too much. 10% is a high percentage and that’s potent

Completely agree! I only use 3 drops (one on each cheek, and then other one for the rest). It does cover everything and after 2-3 weeks, my skin felt so nice and smooth. Sometimes, too much is not a good thing.

On days you exfoliate with Aha/bha, do not add use niacinamide, instead Just use a toner to return the PH and a mild moisturizer with no actives. Then the following morning add niacinamide to your morning regimen. Try tht and you will register a huge improvement!

I started using these two in December and I noticed that I was starting to get more acne. also began to stop with Aha and continued with only niacimide until now June. I really have to say that my skin got less oily and I started to get less acne after 2 months. I use the product twice a day and with a little drip. also recently found out that the best place to use it on is the forehead and cheeks. not using it on the chin and at the jaw gave less pimples. USE only at the place you normly get breakouts

Word of advice always do a patch test before you try out a product on your face.Unfortunately you can't know if it's the niacinamide or the peel that broke you out.Let me check if you updated more on this

but your skin’s texture looks more even and not forget to mention your skin is glowing!😻but I really do hope you use sunscreen during the day bcs your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun when you’re using the AHA, BHA bcs it’s a very powerful exfoliant and it might cause skin purging and irritation if you don’t use sunscreen :)✨

¡Hola ! ( Espero que entiendas español) El líquido rojo es un exfoliante muy bueno, pero para eliminar el acné o las manchas debes combinarlos con otros métodos: Ácido sacilico y Benoxyl Peroxide van bien . Adicional a eso debes cuidar que te pones en tu cara, que tipo de maquillaje y cada día debes hacer limpieza doble : una con algo sutil como agua miscelar y después un limpiador en gel que te limpie los poros porque si no limpias bien el acné nunca se irá aunque exfolies dos veces por semana . Te recomiendo los vídeos de Dr. DRAY , he aprendido mucho con ella . ¡Suerte!

I had really bad dark spots from acne and pimples and generaly just sh*t skin. However after using the AHA/BHA and Niacinamide solution I was really impressed with the results. My skin feels smoother, it looks less blemised and my skin is oily/combination and tbh my skin feels less oily than normal. However of you buy and use the peeling solution and it somehow doesny work for you still use a chemical exfoliation solution as it's better for our skin than rough granules from scrubs

This product isn't really for deep scars like that it's mainly for pigmentation and discolouration but you're so pretty...what i think you should try is microneedling it's designed for such scars..Try it and thank me later.

i dont use skincare, i wash my face with body soap ( i got acne from all over my face, little ones) i tried niacinamide and peeling solutions i can't believed my acne disappear within one week, this is my first time using serum and that kind of things. idk how but it work with my skin for short period of time.

Currently using the niacinamide for about three weeks now and my skin purged from it, but it got better and I’m not getting any new acne recently😊 waiting to start using the peeling solution next week. Didn’t want to start using both products at the same time. Hopefully it’s gonna work out for me

Celicakes if you’re using niacinamide and the peel together you should generally do the mask first than waiting about 30 mins before using the niacinamide other it can take up all the benefits from the niacinamide. hope this helps x

I think that's the best step for me too. I've never used acids on my face before and I'm thinking of buying both the peeling solution and niacinamide. But I think I will buy the niacinamide first and then maybe after a month, I'll get the peeling solution.

I think that possibly you may experience better results in the future if you avoid following up the AHA+ BHA with the Niacinamide. Those two products are not meant to be on the skin together. When used one after the other, they create a by-product called niacin which can be irritating to the skin. Also the niacinamide ph can weaken the effects of the peel. Try only using the niacinamide on the days when you aren’t using exfoliating acids in the same routine.

AHA + niacinamide can only react and create niacin at extremely high temperatures, so unless she’s heating the products up lmao it’s fine to use them together. She also technically isn’t even mixing them together since the AHA mask is rinsed off first. Also yes niacinamide has a higher pH than AHA but after she rinses the mask off, she actually will need to bring her skin barrier back to the normal pH to keep it from drying out and possibly getting damaged, so niacinamide actually helps in this case.

Try to learn abt the chemicals nd ingredients that r present in ur skin care products for example u need hyaluronic acid in ur moisturiser not necessarily but it’s an humectant so that works better .

Im a licensed esthetician and I used a product similar to this for profesionales by dermologica and when it feels like it’s burning or itching in a particular area it means that portion of the skin is dry! Hope that helps.

So I have bad hyperpigmentation and somewhat dullness I have been dealing with it for a longgg time . I was wondering if it would be ok to mix pycnogenol 5% , glycolic acid 7% toning solution as well as the Ascorbic acid 8% +Alpha Arbutin 2% ?

It's not good to use too many acids together. If you would like to start off with an easy skincare routine you can fist go in with normal cleanser, Paula's Choice chemical everyday exfoliant, then go in with a treatment like the Niacinamide from the ordinary, a moisturizer that does not have fragrance in it (elf moisturizer), and lastly a sunscreen because the ordinary contains acids which will be detrimental to the sun krave beauty (The Beet Shield). Hi I would recommend watching dr. vanita rattan’s channel she is a skin care expert who specializes in hyperpigmentation in skin of color. She has some videos that discuss the different ordinary products/acids that work/don’t work well for skin of color!

You should try derma rolling! Check out Carly Humbert, she had similar textured scarring. Niacinamide is typically for pigment scarring. Good luck!!!

Yeah that’s correct but it’s still not dramatic if she does because most of the products have extra ingredients in them which prevent the bacteria from multiplying. Plus it’s an acid, so this effect is getting supported. However, it is of course better not to bring any bacteria in in the bottle.

Have you tried medicube from sokor brand? I really have bad maskne since i am working 42 hours per week in a covid hospital. And surgical mask is a must. It did work for me. We have the same face complexion. Oily kind of skin. :)

The breakout you experienced was probably your skin doing a purge. When I started the niacinamide my skin went through a purge and I broke out but after a month is when I started noticing a big difference in my skin and now I get less breakouts.

I know Deciem says it’s okay to use Niacinimide but I would NOT do that. That is likely over drying your skin and causing the acne. You should only use a light moisturizer after a chemical peel for 24 hours.

I would ditch the pore strips altogether because the combination could cause irritations in the skin,, and pore strips don’t fully take the dirt from the skin, only the top layer

if you keep using niacinamide AFTER your skin purges and breaks out you start to see a difference. you need lots of patience to see results- maybe 6 months like most treatments? x

Um. Yeah you need to throw those cleansers in the trash. 😳 switch to a Cerave or cetaphil cleanser, preferably Cerave and then get a good moisturizer. See how your skin likes those first. Clean and clear is really bad for you skin.
