The real benefit of Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate 20% is that it can be used with products that usually conflict with Vitamin C. So you can use it with peptides, niacidamide etc. I always have it on hand for those peptide weeks where I usually have to pull back on direct acids.

Hi loved the vid!! I’m just confused on which vit c to pick for myself. I have like normal to dry skin and not really sensitive! I wanna purchase the Alpha Arbutin + HA separately with a high potency vit c. Is there a runner up from the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate one just because that one is a bit expensive for me and goes well under sunscreen. Also I’ve been looking for a good sunscreen preferably a natural one strong is UVA protection pls help!

Can you do a review on ascorbyl glucoside solution 12%? I've tried 3 brands of vitamin C but since I have an oily skin, my face tends to break out whenever I used one and I do notice that after using a vit. C serum my face tends to be more oily than it usually is 🥺 I've seen my sister used a vit. C and it really did help brighten her hyperpigmentation that's why I've been dying to use a vit. C as well.

I bought the ascorbic acid 10%+alpha arbutin 2% a month ago. I used it 4 times, each time my huge pores get colored, they become light brown...now I'm not using it anymore because I don't know what I am doing wrong to....... Well... I have a basic skincare routine, I wash my face in the morning, I put my makeup on, go to work, come back home thake off my make up, wash again, then hydrate...so maybe my pores are not the cleanest, and yes, I have black heads, but I don't get them overnight like happened when I used the ascorbic acid+alfa arbutin, all my pores were brown... Different shades of brown 🙄. I got my hopes high with this product, because I have post acnee pigmentation, and I thought it was a good to get rid of all that pigmentation... Do you have any idea idea why this happened to me? I used the product all by itself, in top I put the ordinar's moisturizer+HA. Thank you for your video and your good advice! 🙏🌺
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I had to read this a few times but I am not sure why your pores would have changed colours from the vitamin c serum. I have never heard of that before but anything is possible. I would maybe suggest contacting the Ordinary and ask them directly if this is a side effect or if they have ever heard of anyone else having the same concern.. Of course, if you just noticed this with using this product I would stop using it and maybe try a different vitamin c from the Ordinary or a totally different brand.
@angelinebiswas7611
@angelinebiswas7611 2 жыл бұрын
Everytime I use ascorbic acid I HAVE to use it at night otherwise it tints much skin an orange/self tan type of color. I’ve heard this from a few people as well. It’s because once it hits the skin it oxidizes with light and air and turns into something that’s in DHA. Dr Dray actually answers my question about this one time and suggested to try at night since there’s no UV light to oxidize onto the skin and also a very thin layer of oil or something occlusive to keep the air from it. This is the only way I can use ascorbic acid on my skin which really sucks so I mainly use derivatives

Thank you for this informative video. Am I understanding correctly, the L'ascorbic acid powder should be stored in the fridge?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 5 жыл бұрын
You are so welcome. I am glad you found it informative🤗 I personally wouldn't put the powder in the fridge as moisture can build up but I would definitely keep it in a dark place and somewhere cool. Normally it has a shelf life up to 3 years but once opened it loses approx 2% of it's strength in 6-8 months. Maybe contact the company you bought it from and ask the question just to be 100% sure🙋🏼‍♀️

I’ve heard that you should store your Vitamin C serums in the fridge and I’ve been doing that (I use the suspension 23% from The Ordinary). Hey! Ok so L-Ascorbic Acid is the purest form of Vitamin C (unstable) but the Ordinary derivatives can have similar affects as L-Ascorbic acid but they are in a stable form. The Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F can be used at higher concentrations while remaining stable. The potency have the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F is high while the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is Moderate. Hey there and thank you so much for subscribing. I always love to see where my subscribers are from🤗 I have personally never used the Tatcha Vitamin C cream but I did look at the ingredients and there are some really nice additions to the cream but I believe the Drunk Elephant will be more beneficial as there is L-Ascorbic Acid of 15% which is the strongest form of vitamin c. You will see more results with L-Ascorbic acid then the Tatcha. Yes, the Drunk Elephant can be a little drying if your skin is not used to the product but if you slowly incorporate it and eventually get to "everyday" it will be really beneficial in the long run. The Ordinary cream vitamin c is a weird consistency and it's hard to incorporate it with other products. I am glad to know you had the same problem as me.

Sincerely Miss Ash Thank You for your response, I’ve been using Vitamin C for a Long Time in my skincare routine, just switching from different brands from time to time, I’m 59 years young, So I usually use higher end products on this Really Mature Skin Lol 😂, I also use Retinal/ Vitamin A every night, plus lots of Sunscreen as I was a Sun Lover in my younger days 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️, if only I could turn the clock back...❤️❤️❤️

You are definitely on the right track with your products. I think we were all sun lovers at one point lol. Especially living in Canada, our summers are SO short so I used to soak in as much sunshine as possible, now I self tan and sit in the shade with minimal sun exposure LOL! You are perfect the way you are. Keep going with your amazing skincare routine🤗

Hey, if i only use ordinary vitamin C cream on my evening routine not using anything else (as it pills with other products?). Will it work to reduse my acne spots? I've sensitive skin so I'm afraid of using vit c. Can you suggest me alternative of vit C for spots. I want quicher results 😩 i hate these spots everyone just stare at my face

Vitamin C is an antioxidant which will help with aging, brightness and even skin tone. It doesn't necessarily work for acne. I would suggest the Niacinamide bit.ly/2KSRkfD which is good for acne, oil production etc. Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is also good for blemishes.. bit.ly/2u8n3Sa

Hi I've watch most of your videos on The ordinary and there very helpful but I'm confused on when to put my Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%. I am using Matrixyl 10%+HA, Buffet, Agrireline Solution 10%, Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5 and Pycnogenol 5%. I also have Glycolic Acid7%Toning Solution and the moisturizer. I am 42 years old and can use your guidance on my skine care routines. Thank you
@SincerelyMissAsh

Hi! Ok so you are using 3 different types of peptides (Buffet, Matrixyl & Argireline) which is fine but it's not necessary as they all do similar things. You could use two in one routine or spread all 3 of them out on different days. For the morning you could do Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid, Ascorbyl glycoside, moisturizer + Pycnogenol (mix one or two drops), SPF For the evening you could do Cleanser, Glycolic Toner, HA, Moisturizer + Pycnogenol. **Glycolic Toner should not be used with peptides, so I would alternate your nights with the toner and your peptides. One night use the toner, the next time use the buffet, the next night use your matrixyl, the next night go in with the glycolic toner again and then the next night use the argireline and so on. I hope this makes sense..

Hi, I think you don't need to use hyaluronic acid on your routine because buffet and matrixyl already have it. A good product with more advanced peptides such as matrixyl and 5 different types of Hyaluronic acid is sub q from hilamyde, you can replace buffet+matrixyl with sub q, for example but I would keep using the argeriline solution on my forehead wrinkles, smile lines& crows feet (on the "botox" wrinkles). If you still want to had a little extra hidration to your routine you can substitute Hyaluronic acid with aminoacides+b5 or the squalane serum from TO. Maybe a phantenol toner from the Geek and gorgeous should be good also.

If it’s been past six months can I still use the apha arbutin ascorbic acid? Because I have plenty left... Also when I use the ascorbic acid alpha arbutin product my skin looks puffy and wherever I have redness it appears to look more prominent. Does that happen to anyone else? Is it normal?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can still use it as long as you don't see anything changing with the product like cloudiness, changing of colour, odour etc.. When it comes to any type of vitamin c you want to make sure you use it up as quickly as possible to get the best benefits from the active ingredients.. I don't believe that is normal to see that reaction. You could be taking a reacting to the Alpha Arbutin that is in the vitamin c.. Maybe you should try a different vitamin c and see if you get the same issue.

Use the Alpha Arbutin, Retinol together. If you want you can use the Hyaluronic Acid with those two as well. The Vitamin C should be used in the morning and you can use it with Hyaluronic Acid and squalane as well as niacinamide if you want. Liopic Acid shouldn't be used with buffet and/or Azelaic acid and vitamin c. You can use buffet, niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and squalane oil. I hope this helps!!

Hi if you use alpha Arbutin or any vitamin c serum to lighten dark hyperpigmentation and when it fades away , can the dark spots or hyperpigmentation come back worse ? I mean does vitamin c and alpha Arbutin only supress and bleach the dark hyperpigmentation in the skin or ddoes it actually get rid of hyperpigmentation like increasing cell turnover to get rid of the hyperpigmentation from the root ?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I don't think the dark spots and hyperpigmentation will come back worse no but I do believe that if you stop using vitamin c, alpha arubtin or anything that is helping with lightening pigmentation issues it will start to come back as you are only fading the spots. It will especially come back if someone is outside in the sun without SPF protection as well as the sun will bring out those spots as well making them darker (bringing them back to life). Getting laser done on those areas might help get it to the root!
@dynamitedynamite2737
@dynamitedynamite2737 4 жыл бұрын
Sincerely Miss Ash lasers can make asian Indian skin worse with more post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, what about using retinoids to Increase cell turnover for hyperpigmentation, what do you think about that as that is tackling the root of the problem and of course use sunscreen
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 4 жыл бұрын
Retinoids will help as well but a "Retin-A" that you get prescribed from your doctor or dermatologist will be more beneficial in the long run as it helps with anti-aging, hyperpigmentation, dark spots etc etc. It's the strongest form of Vitamin A. I would look into that and talk to your doctor whether that would be an option for you. I will be doing a video on the differences between Retinoid, Retinol and a Retin-A so stay tuned!
