Tras la caiga del muro de Berlín el propio gobierno alemán realiza una política de „retorno“ de alemanes, política que alcanzó a varios países, como a los alemanes rumanos, los rusos (volga- deutschen) y polacos, claro, muchos decidieron aplicar a ser alemanes, pues Alemania les ofrecía ventajas económicas que no tenían en sus países de „origen“.
