My ancestors are Roma removed from north India, people call us gypsy. My mother, grandfather, great grandparents and ancestors passed down the oral story of where we are from, and why we left, there is always the desire to return. Our spiritual belief is non western. And now I realise what we held onto is Hinduism, I want to learn more it feels natural.

Its take only 45 minute when lord Krishna talk to arjuna all 700 sloka .about 80 % lord Krishna spoke, 40 arjuna, Sanjay two, dhutrastra one I thing. May be number little different but its happen in 45 minute.

I believe it was spoken entirely in the middle of the battle field. If krshna is God he could alter time and circumstances. Not that hard to understand.

Small correction Mr. Jay Lakhani. UPA also means remove. So literally they mean "I will remove your delusions"

Dont listen to Mister Lakhani. He is giving his own opinion/interprations. Mahabharat Ramayan is NOT colorfull storytelling. All happend real. Dont listen to anybody about Sanatan Dharm Veda Mahabharat Bhagwad Gita unless he is a real Guru. The ONLY way to learn about our holy scriptures is by a real Guru or a real pandit who is NOT giving his opinion/interpretations. OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MORE AND MORE CONFUSED AND BRAINWASHED. A REAL GURU OR REAL ACHARYA IS THE ONLY AND THE TRADITIONAL WAY SINCE TRETAYUG. Ye sadiyon se parampara hai. Mister Lakhani i beg you: dont give your opinion and interprations. Dont tell lies, dont confuse Hindus with your colorfull storytelling. If there is no Guru then a Hindu must sincere and deeply pray to Shri Ganeshji and Shri Krishna: please accept me as your chela, you are my Guru. Plaese give me shakti and buddhi to understand Bhagwad Gita and Ramayan. This is how a Hindu must do if you dont have a real Guru.

I think that depends on devotion and personal perception...let someone both believe and learn and let someone only learn and not believe.

Everyone has different interprations. The Vaishnava may differ from the Shaivist, the dvaitins may differ from advaitins, the vedantins may differ from the yogis. The Vedas say , ekam sat, vipra bahuda vadanti which means truth is one, the wise speak of it differently.
