The Chiefs and Raiders rivalry goes all the way back to the days of the old AFL, when two fledgling franchises struck a deal and one team decisively came out on top.

Denver is always a good game. But every year, Raiders week is special. Even when both teams sucked. Especially when both teams sucked. When the Raiders come to Arrowhead, or the Chiefs go to Oakland, or LA, or Oakland, and now Vegas, you know it'll be a fight. 119 regular season matchups and 3 post-season, with a record of 67 wins, 53 losses, and 2 ties. i have been a raiders fan since day one august 1960. when their colors were gold and black. they were going to be the oakland seniors. yes there is a great rivalry between the chiefs and raiders. but let me say this. the rivalry between the raiders and the steelers is historic. these two teams hate each other with a passion. like lenny dawson said. their games with the raiders were wars. the games between the raiders and steelers were nuclear wars. i am a raiders fan, a collector of raiders memorabilia. and a raiders historian. there will never be another team like THE OAKLAND RAIDERS. pride and poise, commitment to excellence, pro footballs winningest team, the will to win. and of course, JUST WIN BABY. When they played in the Oakland Coliseum win, loose or draw they would fight the opponents and the fans would attack visitors just so the world knew we don’t like you. On many occasions the riot squads and national guard would have to be brought in to try and keep the peace. As a child I remember watching in black and white grown men trying to rip each other’s heads off and everyone bled from the confrontation. Pittsburgh was built similarly and gave just as good as they got. I miss the rivalry that we had with Oakland...Those games meant something to the communities. It was about the players AND the fans. I can't help feeling sorry for Oakland - it's like the owners ripped out the soul and moved the body to Las Vegas...sad.

Now NFL teams basically play patty cake with each other.

You wanna talk about a brutal rivalry, look no further than the raiders and Chiefs. It got so bad that you could consider it a blood feud, those games got intense.

for old school Raider fans this is by far the most hated team. The chiefs Raiders wars of the 60's and early 70's were highly anticipated. Both teams had multiple hall of famers and great fan bases. The Raiders would have destroyed Minnesota in the Super Bowl if they'd beaten the Chiefs but they were so overconfident that the Chiefs stunned them in Oakland in the AFC championship.

Woulda, Couda, Shouda. . . The Raiders predicted that the Chiefs would _lose_ to the Vikings. The sore losers were _overconfident_ and _underwater._

Interesting that this bitter rivalry segued to one that succeeded it as the best in NFL history-Raiders and Steelers in the mid 70s.

And my 31 years of life I've hated the Raiders all my life to the point I can't even remember why I don't like them anymore and didn't even know where it started this honestly explains everything my mama don't like them my dad don't like them my grandpa didn't like them my grandma didn't like them remember when i was a kid we would fight them in arrow head after the game didn't matter who won if the Raiders are in town of fight comes with it.

My dad was a Chiefs fan and he called the Raiders the "Dirty Raiders"

A very highly interesting factual video of both franchises hard work and dedication towards success current score RAIDERS 3 the little Kingdom that thought it could be 2 The one thing I learn it's better to be an original team from California than a unwanted from Texas !

As a Raider fan I have to root for the Chefs because I HATE the Steelers way more and do NOT want them in the Super Bowl again. My favorite color is red so I can handle it. Though the whole Marcus Allen Marty Ball thing still pisses me off.

The Oakland franchise almost folded in the early 60s due to a lack of interest in the AFL in the Bay area. Al Davis at one point got a loan for $400K from then Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson just to stay afloat. At one point Raider players themselves were recruited to go door to door in Oakland trying to sell tickets to their games

This rivalry died a long time ago. Then it became Denver. Now it's nobody! You have to beat us before you can make us your rival!

The Chiefs-Raiders rivalry will live on, but it will no longer be Kansas City vs Oakland, instead it will be Kansas City vs...Las Vegas.

I don't get the rivalry the Chiefs were the better team Oakland was a joke. Ironic how neither team is doing better now in 2018.
