Hey there KZfaq, welcome back to another comic book video. This is the channel where we sit down and cover different comic book stories from different comic book companies. This time, we are going to jump back over to Marvel Comics and we are going to cover Ultimate Spider-Man once again. We pick up with Ultimate Spider-Man #5 and we are getting the origin of Ultimate Green Goblin this time.

I love this new ultimate marvel universe so far, I think I find this better than the old ultimate marvel universe

Wow, this looks good. Harry is basically taking on the role of the classic Uncle Ben in the 616 Universe ("With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.). I like their friendship here. I do kind of hope that there is some kind of character turn or plot twist, though.

What a issue! So Iron Lad is fixing villains too? He gave Shocker the shocking things. So it was a good issue. Overall 8.9 of 10

Iron man giving the gloves to shocker, now that is a shocker there 😂. Also we get to see ultimate doc o’clock in this universe! I would like to see more of him trying to get more of the stuff that Tony left in the universes. As for Gwen, she has a different personality in this universe. She seems more like running her thing.

Does it occur to anyone that perhaps Hickman is suggesting that Peter, who is well-off, married, with children, and happy, is not truly a hero because he hasn't experienced real loss or sacrifice? Meanwhile, Harry, who understands loss intimately, resents Peter's mediocrity in "playing" hero and aims to make him mature by forcing him to face true hardship? Since the series began, I have speculated that Hickman might intend to kill MJ to teach Peter a profound lesson. However, for Harry to be the one to do this, it must be in direct retaliation. The most impactful scenario would be Peter compromising Gwen's safety, leading to her death due to his failure to act heroically when it mattered most. This version of Peter doesn't fully grasp the essence of responsibility. He engages in heroism because his life feels incomplete, as an escape, not from a genuine drive to do good. In many ways, his actions are convenient rather than compelled by a moral imperative. That’s the crux of the issue. MJ’s fans may not want to acknowledge it, but her death seems like the necessary catalyst for Peter's growth. When compared to Harry, who embodies maturity and commitment, Peter appears as a boy. They are polar opposites in terms of seriousness and dedication. If Harry can't spur Peter into becoming a true hero by chance, and if this impacts Harry-say, if Spider-Man fails to protect Gwen in a critical moment-this could drive Harry to extreme measures to ensure Peter learns his lesson. MJ's potential death is significant because neither Jameson nor Uncle Ben can impart this effect on Peter. Given that nothing will happen to the primary MJ, Hickman is quite capable of sacrificing the alternate MJ to facilitate Peter’s growth. There must always be a significant correlation between Spider-Man and the Goblin, and this tragic event might be what ultimately defines Peter's journey.

Still hard to believe that Harry is married to Gwen instead of Liz. I guess they that it would be a nice twist for this universe. Since Peter never became Spider-man at 15 means he never met Gwen and Harry because he wasn't Spider-man. Gwen and Harry met in college so without Peter around Gwen and Harry fell in the love. I still wonder how Mary Jane and Peter got together in this universe since Mary Jane had commitment issues after what happen to her family. Unless in this universe Mary Jane family never had any issues.
