We don't know who made the picture, but I don't think it's copywritten

interesting. what historical data did use in order to determine which vegetation and how much foliage to use for the valley. your portrayal of the local area is very different than it is today or even a hundred years ago. the area is very arid and desert.

As for the picture we don't know who made it and where they got the idea of the greenery.

@@SafinaSociety Thanks. i think we say with a fair amount of certainty that while the portrayal of the buildings may be close to accurate, the rest of the portrayal of Mecca has many inaccuracies.

then crescent moon is an innovation? or is there any authentic ahadith that we should put a crescent moon on minarets or in mosques?
@zainahmed65023 жыл бұрын
There are no ayah or Hadith denoting Crescent as a symbol of Islam. Muslims began to use a Crescent on flags and buildings as symbols during Crusades to counter the Christian cross. It was later adopted by the Ottoman Empire for their official use. From there it became associated with Islam.

Yes, innovation from Mamluk and Ottomans. It was actually a Turkic symbol symbolizing the Gokbayraq (Celestial Blue Flag). The symbol for Muslims are two kalmas of shahada, just like in white and black banners, that are now demonised by the Western news outlets.
