Il tango di roxanne, celebre opera, resa nota dal film moulin rouge, cantata e suonata dal vivo da un'orchestra dell'est Europa (Al Tango!) il cui tenore (Pior Rafalko) è veramente spettacolare...consiglio a tutti la visione del video e non ve ne pentirete...grazie Jimmy
P.S. Il video è molto grosso e quindi si carica un po' lentamente...non scoraggiatevi perché ve ne pentirete...se non si carica tutto insieme o mentre lo vedete, stoppate e aspettate qualche secondo...per evitare che si fermi sul più bello...grazie Jimmy

I think it is beautiful and the range the singer has is unbelievable. I thought it was two different vocalists until I saw this video.

Besides the movie this is the best interpretation of this tango de Roxxane , the orchestra is superb and the voice of the singer is magnificent!!!! I dont get tired of listening this interpretation

Este tango pertenece al Maestro Mariano Mores del tango "Tanguera" con pasajes de "Canaro en Paris"de Juan Calderella y Alejandro y Jose Scarpino creo,y encima se le coloco la letra de "Roxanne" de The Police...Tiene un estilo muy a lo piazzolla,la verdad me encanta que se revolucione de esta manera el tango quedo hermoso.Saludos de Argentina,tierra del tango...Felicitaciones!!!

It's fabulous, the passion of every performer gives me chills, the singer hits note after note, the violin solo - well, he makes that violin speak, it sends chills. The whole thing, including the long ovation, is pure delight. Thank you for this.

The truth is that Sting originally wanted to record the song on a bossa nova style but Stewart suggested that it suit better on a tango compass.

EL TANGO DE ROXANNE to jeden z najtrudniejszych do zagrania i zwłaszcza zaśpiewania utworów!... Nie każda orkiestra i dyrygent mogą "udźwignąć" jego TAJEMNICĘ. Bo to jest i Niebo i Piekło Miłości na niewielu stronach partytury... No i trzeba umieć zachować DUSZĘ RYTMU TEGO TANGA! Orkiestra SIMFONIA ARTIST pod dyr. KRZYSZTOFA URBAŃSKIEGO to Anioły... a PIOTR RAFALKO to Anioł i Demon w jednym ciele (mieć odwagę zaśpiewania tego Tanga "białym głosem" jako tenor to nielada sztuka!) Nagranie już ma miejsce w Historii jako JEDYNE!... Widziałem dwóch chłopców ze Szkoły Tanga w mojej Portugalii, jak tańczyli właśnie do tego nagrania w deszczowy wieczór dla nas, przechodniów... In fact, El Tango de Roxanne use only the lyrics from the The Police's song. The music is the tango "Tanguera", writen by Argentine composer Mariano Mores (you can find several versions of the original tango in You tube). Anyway, as far as I know the original version of the mash-up is the one used in the movie. This is a very nice version, anyway. But if you are interested in the music, saerch Tanguera - Mariano Mores, there is a beautiful version directed by the composer.

Hola! Mariano Mores es el compositor argentino, director de orquesta de tango y creador de inmemorables obras. Entre ellas, "Tanguera" y que fusionada a "Roxanne" de Sting, aparece en la película Moulin... Ojalá puedan escuchar la obra original. Muy bella la interpretación del cantante. Saludos!

Yes, the music is excellent. Jacek Koman, the singer did not "try to sing",as some would have it! His enunciation and command of the piece was first rate. It is noteworthy that the audience thought so too.
