Davina had just once again, literally a week before, made herself their enemy. Trying to break Elijah’s sire line and managing to break Klaus’. She knew the Strix would murder them both as soon as the lines were broken. She was literally told by the Strix to her face that was their plan and she didn’t care because they were in the way of what she wanted. This time she was in the way of what they wanted. How is that different? Plus he’d always choose Hayley over Davina, no hesitation, throw Klaus and Rebekah on top and it’s a no-brainer. Not to mention, he’s dealt with traumatic loss many times and if anyone knows how to compartmentalize it’s Elijah Mikaelson.
