I'm sorry but Caroline should have never gotten pregnant with them. The whole storyline was just one big gaping plothole. Why the hell did they kill Jo and Kai if they were just going to save the children anyway? All that does is throw the established rules out of the window and carry on pretending like they are still followed.

@@susanbones3381 I heard that Jo wasn't supposed to die, but then the actress playing Caroline got pregnant, and this was the only way to keep the story going since Caroline was a vampire and couldn't got pregnant.

@@annyediulye If that's true, than the writers are even worse. The solution was simple: Don't impregnate the character just because the actress is pregnant! Especially not with kids who - by THEIR OWN RULES - should be DEAD! They could have found a way to write her character out for a couple episodes, for example they could have had Lily kidnap her again or Caroline be the one who gets trapped in the soul stone. But NO! Instead of a reasonalbe storyline, we ended up with the surrogacy-garbage, that the writers CLEARLY didn't think through.

@@susanbones3381 Imo, the storyline regarding Alaric and Jo's twin daughters is actually more of a loophole than a plothole, if you really take the time to think about it. Vampires because of their undead status and not being human can't procreate (have children), however there's a workaround to that. It made sense for Kai to kill Jo to prevent her from giving birth to Lizzie and Josie; theoretically because they would be next in line (after Luke and Liv) to lead the Gemini Coven. The coven were two steps ahead of Kai and magically transferred the twins from Jo's womb to Caroline's. They figured that Caroline being immortal would keep them alive and safe.The drawback to it is that because Caroline is supernatural the twins have to constantly siphon the magic from her body to stay alive which could kill her. Wdym by established rules? That episode in Legacies where the twins meet their biological mom was crazy; I know it wasn't really her but still a crazy episode.

@@psquared2020 I took the time to really think about it and it is a MAJOR plothole. My issue with that storyline is not, that the babies get carried by a vampire. That's actually a loophole I can get behind. You are right, Caroline technically didn't procreate, as they are not biologically hers and we learn from Damon as early as season 1 that a vampire's body works normally as long as they drink blood. What doesn't make ANY SENSE, is that Lizzie and Josie COULD be saved. Not with the way they ended season 6. There are three reasons why the writers half-assed explanation doesn't work. 1 How did the Gemini even know Jo was pregnant, let alone carrying twins? Jo and Ric only learned that themselves in the episode before her death and they specifically wanted to keep it from the coven. They didn't want the Gemini taking the girls away from them. You could make the argument, that they could magically sense the pregnancy, but even that should be ESTABLISHED for it to work. They actually had the perfect opportunity for that in the scene where Jo talks to her father before the wedding. One lingering glance down at her stomach would have been enough. They wasted it. 2. The way they killed Jo. Kai killed Jo by stabbing her literally through the stomach MULTIPLE times. You can actually see the tip of the blade peaking out of her stomach and the blood stains on the front of her dress are further proof. You are right, it makes a twisted sort of sense for him to do his this way. He wanted to ensure Jo and the babies were really dead. How the hell are two unborn kids supposed to survive that? ESPECIALLY because the crappy nonsensical pregnancy-transfer only happened AFTER that. If that should have made even the slightest bit of sense, he should have slit her throat or stabbed her in the heart. Basically ANYTHING but stab her through the stomach. To me, Lizzie and Josie could have only survived what we were shown if the pregnancy was transfered beforehand and they DIDN'T! Why would they? As far as anyone knew, Kai was locked in a 1903 prison-world. 3. Gemini die with their leader. This is the biggie. The most prominent thing established about the Gemini is the life-link between the coven and their leader. If the leader dies, so do the others. In the season 6 finale Kai killed himself to turn into a heretic. He came back because of the vampire blood in his system and Joshua, Liv and the rest (as far as we knew back then) died. All fine and dandy, the established rules have been honored. The reveal of Caroline's pregnancy is a GIANT slap in the face of the established material. The girls ARE Gemini, being carried via surrogacy and cloaked doesn't change that. There is the possibillity of them only getting linked to their leader after their birth, but how could Kai - and appaerently ONLY Kai (Jo herself thought it was food poisoning at the time) - sense his sister's pregnancy then? That's not the only time they just completely disregard that rule without a proper explanation. In Legacies Alaric beheads Kai without ANY consequenses to Josie and Lizzie. Correct me, if I'm wrong, but isn't Kai technically still the coven leader?

@@inzanity490 no when he met hope, she wasn’t suffering trauma. The scene from 4x05 was after we saw the Hollow for the first time. She had major trauma from that especially since it was during the time where she couldn’t see her father at all

Alaric breaks his word, flip flops on supporting Hope, fails as headmaster much of the time and is often absent for his daughters. Writers very much destroyed the character

KC rose in the series finale, then fell in their last 5mins together. typical. im still pissed of how dirty JP did bonnie by killing off enzo using ripper-stefan. then killed of stefan saving damon from dying with katherine to save elena. then kills off klaus bc caroline didnt deserve him at all bc he chose hope when it shouldv just been elijah, he had nothing else but to reunited w hayley in the afterlife, hell we never saw klamille there either, wth! JP started every ship and blew it all up in one frkn episode. baroline both deserved better, tbh caroline might as well get back with matt, bc alaric is busy with the boarding school and mayb maroline/calaric were fight beremy's 4th hook&breakup. srsly jeremy&matt hanging out w ric, without tyler is bloody weird. he died for nothing too. if anyone deserve caroline it was tyler, book endgame ppl. steroline and klaroline were never gonnab endgame, knew that from the start, forwood were destroyed bc klaus killed carol and care slept w/klaus. ofc if forwood didnt end the way they did, then we wouldnt have gotten klaylope. so guess ill thank JP for breaking up forwood so klaylope could be born, and then destroyed in TOs series finale like nothing happened, yet tyler found peace with vicky and not liv, when it was liv's death who made him a werewolf again OMG

@@roxanajohnson9310 At 7 years old Hope would have had trauma from her experience with the Hollow and her family splitting up, but Alaric has been shown in legacies to take in students with worse trauma and more damaged. Alyssa accidentally murdered her own parents when she was around Hope's age, but Alaric took her in. And later on Alaric takes in Kaleb who murdered students in a high school. He didn't hesitate to take them in.

I mean that memory was probably right before he decided he will accept her. Maybe he had a change of heart

That is a perfect example and yet they are rather different (Dumbledore was an amazing Headmaster/Mentor) Alaric is often a failing or disappointing one

They all have tried to kill each other… In TVD, at first I thought that Klaus was the ultimate villain but later on I realized that he was simply dealing with his own and family matters, just like Silous, just like everyone else…Survival of the fittest :))

When I saw her in X-men, I was like "Hope!". Probably the most exciting moment for me in the movie. LOL
