@@istvantoth7431 The new movement in the ceramic Black Bay also had some issues, and much more major requiring service, not just an inconvenience such as having to move the crown backwards slightly when setting the time LOL. Other than that the Cal 400 is precise and solid. I don't see Tudor giving you a 10 year warranty or a 10 year service interval.

Those are beautiful looking watches and I'm glad many watchmakers are now starting to size down a bit from the oversized watch trend that was prevalent for so long. I'd love to see more companies offer at least two sizes for specific models. Unfortunately, the Aquis is out of my current price range, but I think anyone who buys one will be happy with their purchase.

And Caliber 400 comes with a heavy jerking of the minute hand while hacking the movement which clever Teddy avoids talking!!!
@thomascrown7818
@thomascrown7818 3 жыл бұрын
Bruce pointed out about this on his latest review, however, Rob pointed out why this happens in his review as well. When you hack mechanical or automatic watch, you need to pass the full minute to where you want to hack, then go back to the minute you want to stop, and when you press the crown all the way in, the minute hand does not move. Rob says this is the proper way to hack any watch. Just my two cents from what I learned.
@triniboy05

@@thomascrown7818 Rob, as well as all of these youtubers, is also being compensated by Oris. That’s only an issue with Oris, not a recommended way to hack all watches. It’s no coincidence that every reviewer has Oris watches out right now.

Thank you for this video which is so explanatory, clear, professional and above all with some really well done shots! I would like to ask you if this 41.5 mm model can be suitable for a 17 cm wrist and if under a shirt or pullover, in your opinion it is too bulky or has a good fit. The thickness of the 13.5 mm case scares me a little, but from what you said, the lugs and the ceramic bezel tend to slope downwards and therefore, it probably fits optimally. The green model is beautiful but the blue is also very interesting... which one would you personally choose between the two? Compliments! Marco

You could find this watch at 1,5k with a good discount brand new. Now you have to pay 1k+ more but for what ? For a re-modified movement a and 2 mm smaller case ? It’s no from me…

For what? How about a totally in house, better than chronometer accurate, and a highly anti magnetized movement that has 4x the power reserve of the entry level Sellita! Not to mention a 10 year warranty and 10 year service intervals

I have automatic watches under 200 bucks that only have a minus ten. Paying several thousand for minus thirty is daylight robbery

Much better size, very nice dials, although not a big fan of the hands , which are pretty boring in my opinion. Impressive power reserve, that’s a great plus . They need to upgrade the clasp though, the fact that they did not is pretty cheap and lame. They need an adjustable glide clasp like Omega has on its Seamaster 300m bracelet. Also if it’s a sports/ dive watch the bracelet should be all brushed , the polished parts will end up getting scratched quickly and then it will look terrible. Why have polished parts on a bracelet if it’s a tool watch? I mean come on , even I could do better than that. Oh , and it’s too expensive , this should be under $3000.

Beautiful watches at a great size, but over priced. The ‘diver’s extension’ on any watch is a gimmick and completely useless for diving (but may be useful in other sports) so they would be better off looking at an ‘on the fly’ adjustment for their bracelets. I’m not convinced by the movement, for a 3k watch.

I have written to Oris twice in the last year requesting they make the cal 400 available with the cherry red Aquis dial. They refused both times and therefore I will never buy an Oris.
