In the game, players take on roles within the German High Command during WWII as each looks to gain prestige and secure hidden agendas. The Other Side of the Hill is for one to four players, ages 14+, and contains various scenarios with gameplay lengths running between three and twelve hours.

There is already an excellent game that covers that: Churchill, by Mark Herman. As the designer, my whole point was to demonstrate the inefficacy, overlapping and conflicts, even of a personal nature, within the High Command of a totalitarian state, as opposed to the preconception that authoritarian rule makes for efficient management 😏

@@carlosmarquezlinares566 Thank you for your reply. I’m looking forward to your game. I’m aware of Churchill, but I’ve never played it. That being said, your game “appears” to be more granular in regard to the many generals, armies, and battles. If I’m not mistaken, Churchill is more strategic and only depicts the general movement of the various battle fronts. But, of course, you are right. That is, while the Allies did have competing objectives (ala Churchill), inter-service rivalries, and maybe arguments over limited resources, there is no comparison to the “court intrigue” of the nazi regime. For example, to my knowledge, there were no assassination plots or or even questions of loyalty. There were only competing egos and questions of competence! Well, I’ve rambled on long enough.
