In 1985, I joined Scott on a four-day Trans-America trip in which he visited a variety of recruits, including at least one future Sooner star. Scott and I recollect that trip and discuss the many changes in college football recruiting.

That recruiting class should have won 3 straight national championship. If you think about it the Sooners should have won 4 straight titles. The should have beaten Washington in the 85 Orange Bowl, and if they could have found away to beat Miami in 86 and then won the 88 Orange Bowl. Can they ever get back to that pinnacle? Only time will tell. Love the interview.

1975 Scott Hill de-Fing cleated NFL Hall of Fame RB Tony Dorsett in what is still known as "The Hit". Dorsett gained 1686 yards in 1975, but the Sooner defense held him to 17 yards on 12 carries, the worst performance of his collegiate career as the Sooners blew out Pitt 42-10
