I don't think her character is an outcast because of her hair and glasses. They all look pretty normal to me, but in the movie they are in band, which is stereotyped as nerdish.

Actually, High schoolers used to look very old. Only in the last 10 years or so have they looked very young. I observed my older sister's school peers when she was in in High school all the time and they all looked older than today's teens. My generation though looks VERY young in High School. And college kids look how like High schoolers used to look. It's like the farther back in time you go, the older the teens look. It's all quite interesting actually.

Cliche, repetitive, outdated. Another teen movie plot about geeks vs popular kids. YAWN. This movie is gonna flop, and Victoria Justice is not gonna save it. I mean, in this day and age, it's actually cool to be a geek nowadays. Heck, most of the blockbuster hits are actually comic book movies. So I think this movie would have been more interesting and updated if the geeks were the popular kids. But nope, we get the same high school movie with a lame, unoriginal plot. This just screams LAZY.

I need more Indie high school/coming of age movies in my life. I had an anxiety crash in 7th grade and then attended a charter school for 4 years. I never got the full high school experience. There was no exciting transition, I wound up in classes with freshmen by the time I got to go to a public high school, and didn't get a proper learning disability diagnosis until I was 18. To be frank, the best of times & worst of times seemed to focus more on the latter. Even when I went to junior college (which I've been stuck in for 6 years due to shitty grades) everything sucked and fell to shit.

Victorious was a silly and over-acted show, but I was always pissed off that Beck ended up with Jade instead of Tori. So, this movie will probably be worth the watch just to see Avan and Victoria as a couple

I was kinda pissed too because while Jade and beck weren't my favorite couple I thought they were just ok as a couple. Like I kinda wish a turning point happened where she'd be ok with him and tori dating because I started to ship them after seeing the episode the gorilla club because he was really nice to her in that episode.

Why? This doesn't even look remotely interesting. People don't act like this. High school is nothing like this. I hate that Hollywood keeps expecting us to buy the same uninspired stories, and lazily crafted characters. There's talented writers, making well rounded and engaging screenplays, why are we settling for this unsatisfying crap?! I know that every generation has some terrible films, but this is really too much. With all the sequels and remakes coming out, do we really need another terrible high school movie? Lol (sorry for the rant) even though a couple of pretty cool films came out in the last few years, the abundance of trash is still frustrating.

Imani Hubbard I agree with almost everything that you said, except that this not being like high school. This is somewhat like high school. In high school, there are groups of people, there are racist blacks, there are people that tear you down. Also, never apologize. Almost all KZfaq commenters go on angry vicious rants.
