@@gregsmith7949 I love that. Also the Missouri boatride. You only need a converted Sharps Rifle in 50/70 with a mounted scope. But i think the story tells a lot of the fate from what happened to confederate Soldiers after the civil war. The post war pressure on the south was heavy and brought up rifts which are still not mended.

There's another clint western with a similar scene where a man walks in through the saloon doors says hello to clint then leaves but rushes back in but clint has a shotgun aimed at the door already and just blows him away whilst drinking his beer at the same time I think. You think about it he's probably more dangerous than Josie. He'd survived a helluva lot before he met Josie and while he wasn't as spry he'd become an old man while living a dangerous life, and he actually seems to have even fewer qualms about killing than Josie. And people forget about him because he just fades into the background 90% of the time.

With that, for CD to be elderly he may have had to "stick & move" then blend in. Stick a few corpses in the ground, then get out of Dodge. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I sure am glad I did not live in that yesterday!
