We’re on a mission to hike Tasmania's Spectacular Overland Track which runs from Cradle Mountain 80km south to Lake St Clair with a few side trips along the way.
Watch Episode 1 if you missed it • The Overland Track Par...
In this episode we get a few more days of hiking under our belt and set our sights on our next side trip, reaching the summit of Tasmania’s highest mountain, Mt Ossa.
We just need to try and dodge a big rainstorm that is heading our way!
Join me (Steve), Rob, Zak and Gary on this crazy adventure as we spend 8 nights exploring 'The Overland Track' and some of the side trips in the pristine Tasmanian high country.
Special thanks to Tasmania Parks & Wildlife Service for the awesome work maintaining the track and to Zak for sharing some of his video footage with me.

Subscribe for the next episode which will be up soon.
See you on the road (or track)!
Cheers
Steve

ABOUT THE OVERLAND TRACK:
The Overland Track in Tasmania is one of Australia's most iconic multi-day hiking tracks.
Running from Cradle Mountain in the north to Lake St Clair in the south, the 80km track snakes its way through pristine Tasmanian high country wilderness.
Around 8000 people each year tackle the track and many like me keep going back again and again.
The track can be completed in around 5 nights but we'll be taking 8 nights to allow extra time for some of the side trips along the way . . . Barn Bluff, Mt Ossa etc.
In this video series I'll take you with me through the pre-trip planning & preparation, the track and side trips and a wrap up at the end once I get home.

Enjoying the series Steve. Been awhile since my daughter and i met you and the girls at Snowys. I think you were having an issue on the front end of the cruiser at the time. Looking forward to episode 3.👍

Thankyou Steve. Great video! Such a great experience and achievement. Also. looking forward to part 3. Do you think a fit 65 year old could make the trip with the correct preparation and with a small group such as yours?

You definitely could do it. There were plenty of people over 65 and I even met a guy on the track back in 2006 in his 80’s walking it for the 8th time. He didn’t start hiking until he retired at 65!
