Maybe without fan channel representatives though, love all of their channels but would love to get fans who aren’t making coin out of it. Not saying those that do aren’t real fans but just saying it would be awesome to reach out to other people and not the same ones every time. Not me though because I’m stuck in the States and can’t wait to get back to my home.

I have nothing against the guy, but he must have one hell of an agent. Was a generic, unremarkable Love Island contestant, now he’s got the dream job of talking football, interviewing and hanging out with footballers and presumably getting paid lots to do so. Fair play to his agent 👏🏻

Rafa (on paper) is the perfect fit for Everton right now as well. His track record is minimal spend, club looking to push on toward the top places but are underdogs, wheeling and dealing- that's where he has always shown his best management (if not where he would prefer to be). I remember that 2004 Liverpool team he took over, we were tragic, so many of the players from the Houllier era were on terminal decline, and he just had 3-4 years where he knocked it out the park and continually improved us. That was honestly a period that without Rafa we could have ended up sliding into midtable under an inferior manager. Similar at Valencia, although he actually managed to win the league because Real/Barca were in a shitstorm at the time. The only question is how the fans back him obviously.

Also Evertonians know very well how much we’ve spent on crap, however people can’t act like FFP is fair for all clubs evenly across the board. @@ChargedWords I don’t think they are full of shit, I think they are deluded by the fact that because they played professionally at the highest levels, that this translates to their opinions post career, in a different era with a different generation, being as notable as their playing careers were. At the end of the day once they’ve hung up their boots, they’re just fans like the rest of us.

The average fan doesn’t realize the amount of money their club misses out on when they don’t qualify for a European cup. Obviously you’d rather be fighting for a CL spot, but getting into the EL is a huge boost to maintain relevance and avoid digging a deeper hole.

I would classify myself as a casual football fan and this was so well done that I was riveted for the entire two hours (which definitely did not feel like two hours)! I would absolutely watch if Sky ever did this again!

I suspect it was only because Luke Shaw is playing really well and it was about what the team need rather then the player he respects the most. In the Keane v Viera show years ago you could see how highly he rated Irwin (and rightly so). For me it's got to be Ronaldo, Cantona or Keane himself.

Not every week plz.... every week talk with fan can be sound more naive and bit illogical...becz if u see last season tot and Everton were top of the league and will be praised bt u see end of season they were down...i feel like 3 time is good.. before start of the season , during Christmas, after season...just enough..

This is brilliant! Engaging with fans is the best way to discuss what's going on with clubs. Make this a weekly show & change the fan representatives every episode so a lot of fanzines get their chance to speak for their clubs.

I think it's probably difficult for Keane, Neville & lot of the Utd lads that played with Giggs. Most friends of serial killers say that they were great people, very helpful & friendly blah blah. What Giggs has done is reprehensible & I think the Utd lads understand that, but also have some loyalty to a guy they played with for over a decade.

Absolutely loved this. This needs to be a monthly thing. Great interaction with the fans from the ex pro’s, great banter as well and also insightful talk from everyone. The pro’s were excellent at speaking with the fans and not belittling their comments and thought. Only negative was that Arsenal fan…. What a helmet.

You should do this again. As long as you got Keano in it. Gary is knowledgeable but can be boring also, as he doesnt like to challenge the status quo much, while Keano is the spice to any talk.

Wouldn’t change a thing it was balance and fantastic…so glad we didn’t have a host pretending he knew more than the panel, he came in at the right time cut off the annoying ones at the right time but he let the show flow!

@@blacksling9 Host did what any good host should do. He simply enabled the ppl to talk, and as you say allowed a good flow . And with the exception of a couple "fans" ,that we could do without, this also shows that proper fans have a solid football foundation and understand the game way more than ppl have given us credit all this time. Yeah I agree, no need to change one thing. Keep it as it is' its brilliant.
