DO NOT TRY THIS ON YOUR EXPENSIVE GLASSES! Rubbing abrasive tooth paste on your glasses is ill advised. It is far more likely to cloud your lenses and do more damage to them than repair them, especially polycarbonate lenses. Notice that she only used cheap and disposable plastic readers and sunglasses to demonstrate with.

Sunt din România am făcut și eu acest lucru cu ani în urmă, dar nu pe lentile de ochelari. Am lustruit cu pastă de dinți pe plastic transparent care era sgâriat, iar la urmă lustruiam cu hârtie de ziar sau hârtie igienică. De lustruiam plasticul cu pasta de dinți împreună cu hârtie de ziar sau hârtie igienică. Însă la anumite plastice, nu mergea orice pastă de dinți, foloseam doar un tip de pastă de dinți de proveniență românească, care nu se mai găsește acum. Am încercat și cu pastă străină, dar era abrazivă și nu dădea un luciu bun.

Appreciate the intent. As a retired pro photo/videographer, i would never risk the apochromatic, polarizer or any other delicate a micro-thin coatings on my $$,000 lenses. My eye doctor and office that charges me $$$ for these extra, same coatings on my eyeglasses warned me to NEVER use any potential abrasives. I'll try it on an old, cheap pair. Never on my $$$ ones

NO ! Do NOT use abrasives of any kind . Simple Soap and gentle rubbing with a Finger only , and simply RINSE in clean water or under the tap . Then shake dry and allow to Air Dry .

La suciedad se puede quitar con alcohol isopropílico sin problemas también. Ahora bien, los arañazos en los cristales de aumento se pueden quitar con cualquier tipo de pulimento, el problema es que también se va a quitar la protección ultravioleta que estos cristales tienen.-

I usually just mix soap with water (1:5 to 1:10) to dilute it because pure soap is too strong and will also ruin your lense multicoat. Put the mixture in a spray bottle. To use, simply start with rinsing tap water onto your lense, then spray the mixed soap liquid to the lense, rub it gently, then rinse more water to remove all the soap. Use your towel to dab all the remaining droplets on your lense and let it dry by itself. I usually clen my glasses before going to bed.

I wouldn't dare apply an abrasive product to optical lenses - they're not Plexiglas. What's more, you don't run your fingers over lenses after cleaning them, because you redeposit the sebum (oil) you have on your skin.

I use a soft wax on my glasses and polish them with a micro fibre cloth.You get this wax from baby bell cheese. I works for me and if has no grit to scratch the lenses. From Toronto Canada.

Si pones pasta dental que es abrasiva y llegas a pasar papel o tramita lograrás que se rayen las lentes , le quites el antireflex , etc! NI LOCO

mixing toothpaste to the soap is a mistake. It is abrasive, and at least will ruin to the lense multicoat layers which help making your lense less reflective and give more contrast.
