Kelly & Christi managed to get out and Holly turned on them in Season 5 and claimed they were “playing victim” even tho they were the moms who stood up for her and Nia the most. Then, in that very same season, Holly was put in the same “Target” position that the Hylands & Lukasiaks were in before (even worse bc there was racism added into it) and she stayed…. She decided to stand behind a racist, abusive teacher, even against her own true friends… even when that racist, abusive teacher did NOTHING for her child and she basically had to do everything herself… I agree with OP that it’s partly on Holly. I hate it when ppl put her on a pedestal and act like she’s more than what she is or somehow better than everyone else. She was one of the better moms to come out of the show but she’s not above other humans... she herself said that. Holly isn’t perfect. She’s had her not-so-great moments on the show and she didn’t stand up for everyone nearly as much as ppl say. That specific accolade should mostly go to Christi. Abrasive & Blunt as she is, Christi has been shown standing up for nearly everyone (mostly speaking of the main cast here), even Abby.

@@cortezcristaashe had a 6 year contract and could’ve left after the zieglers did which was when the show was suppose to end but all of the remaining cast members wanted it go on so badly even though Abby didn’t and then they wondered why Abby didn’t have motivation.

I’ll never forget, In s6 Ashley made Kendall storm out..later that day, Abby talking with the girls said, u all are still here learning and Kendall isn’t, remember beating someone isn’t just leaving but staying is how u beat them at their own game..ironic considering how she treated nia, who was n the room when she said it

Absolutely, especially not wanting her on the team. I think the biggest example of that is Abby’s season 8 team. They were all similar dancers that she supposedly picked out.

The divisions may not necessarily be age divisions. There are divisions for different styles, like lyrical, contemporary, open, etc. Kendall lost to Ava and both did lyrical. Maddie did contemporary. Nia did open, I’m pretty sure. So you can win first in say, lyrical, but third overall if a jazz/another style routine places higher.
