We came to the Pantanal to film jaguars in the wild - and we were not disappointed. But we were blown away by the diversity and abundance of wildlife in these little-known wetlands. Many of the animals we encountered are unique to this part of the world and new to us as wildlife photographers, including anteaters, armadillos, tapirs, capybaras, caimans, coatis, giant river otters and crab-eating raccoons. It is also host to some of the world's most beautiful birds, like the hyacinth macaw, jabiru, toucan, spoonbill, acari, little blue heron, curassow, caracara, ringed kingfisher and others.

When I was about 13 years old I used to live in my family's ranch in Veracruz, Mexico one afternoon my brother and I were returning from the deepest part of the property which was part of a mountain. We were walking and talking as usual, suddenly he said to me "look there was something near the rocks but it disappeared" we approached the area very carefully since the "Chupacabras" rumor was at its peak. Suddenly a big cat appeared from behind a rock about 70 meters from were we stood, it stopped for a brief minute to glance at us, as soon as it appeared it spirited away into the jungle, we told my father as soon as we got to the truck, he got the workers together and went looking for it, they only found foot prints heading deep into the mountains. Surprisingly we never lost a single cow or sheep to wild animals, I guess it was just a corridor. We did heard about other ranchers shooting jaguars, pumas and coyotes, not my father he had the utmost respect for wildlife so much so that he kept about 50 hectares untouched, he said it was for them to live in peace, besides the people working in the ranch had orders not to kill wildlife unless human lives were in danger, but that never happened. Today the whole region has been populated and deforestation has driven wildlife away, so I consider myself and my brother the luckiest members of the family who experienced a close encounter with such a beautiful animal.

This video, music and still photography and of course the animals kept me rivited. The production and narration along with the guide were wonderful. Everyone involved in this cinematic gem are to be applauded...it was as if I were there in the Pantenal. I can dream.

I am glad to see the people in the boats because ecotourism can help save many wild endangered animals. When locals profit then the wildlife can profit. What a wonderful trip and an opportunity to see a jaguar in the Pantanal!!!

Owen Ltd perhaps it was made for more than pretentious people? Kids need to learn to appreciate and cherish wildlife. More than likely, the narrator had them in mind. As a wizened grown up, you SHOULD be able to locate the volume control.

8:30 Amazing how regardless the specie that wild-life will have just as many offspring depending on the amount of prey that is available to them. Man, would it be great if their were a particular specie in america that could finally somehow/someway regulate the amount of offspring they have to accommodate their financial economic stability. Oh well, I guess that's just imaginable, wishful thinking on my behalf.

Solid video, however, I'm sorry to point out, during the post-production process, I bet you added in bird sounds. it wouldn't be such a big deal if it was local birds to that region, but if you added the sounds of African mourning doves (which is great in the African bush), I hope you will consider removing it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJajZtOIvp25f30.html -Sounds to me like your editor did add whatever and if this educational and supposed to be authentic, it takes away from it. Please check.
