I'm 31 and I watch that movie at least 4-5 times a year. Was 9 when it came out!

God bless this movie and RIP Natasha Richardson. This is my favourite live-action Disney movie. I seen it alot when I was little but kinda stopped from my teenage years. But rewatching it as an adult I began loving it more n more. It is the right amount of mushy for me inna very heartfelt romantic dramedy. 4/4 to this masterpiece. Like "The Mask of Zorro", this movie is a great epic offering timeless laughs, drama, romance, and...I suppose action, though it aint a swashbuckler (save for that iconic fencing scene lol). The original I didn't see as much but when I finally did there were some things I probably preferred over this excellent remake. I did sorta like the mom a bit more in the original as well as the maid, but god help me I still love the maid in this remake. She is funny as heck. Love when Nick looks at her and she's all like, "Don't look at me. I don't know a thing." The music by Alan Silvestri is perfect. This movie overall is pretty much like a bottle of Nick's wine or so. It aged beautifully. I could sit there and watch this movie over n over again. Plus, like many, I thought Lindsey had a twin sister in real life. My thoughts on the original is essentially my thoughts on the first Terminator movie going up against T2 on which one I prefer. In other words, both Terminator and TPT with Hallie Mills are basically terrific rough drafts, whereas T2 & this remake are more of the complete projects for me. But heck, I could of course sit there n watch all 4 mentioned movies in a row, back to back or so. Just one more thing. It's sort of related to "The Parent Trap"...RIP Queen Elizabeth II. There was a deleted scene in which Hallie (pretending to be Annie) was wanting to see Her Majesty. I believe she was being played by the same actress whom played QE2 in "The Naked Gun" and "Goldmember". I loved Helen Mirren as the Queen in...well...THE QUEEN! My heart goes out to Elizabeth's family, as well as, Natasha's.
