Most veteran Olympians stay in hotels, because the Olympic hotels were athletes stay get crazy. For example the track athletes were Paris aren’t there first games typically won’t stay there, because swimming is finished while track and field is about to start so the swimming athletes stay late and party, and the track and field athletes have to try to sleep through all that nose.

some of the ahtletes are tall and big, that bed looks like for small teenagers. I hope they are comfortable, but Small bed against the wall would not be comfortable I know, it's a dorm room setting.

I have slept on a hardwood floor multiple times and slept perfectly fine, i have also cowboy camped in the back country many times (which means no tent and no sleeping pad so just sleeping on dirt and rocks) and slept perfectly fine and woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. I don’t know why they are complaining, those beds honestly look pretty comfortable.
