Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has made monumental leaps in the NBA over recent seasons. Developing alongside the promising Oklahoma City Thunder, SGA has consistently proven to be much more than what many initially envisioned during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Offensively, Gilgeous-Alexander rapidly ascended as a basketball prodigy. But more recently, he has consistently been showcasing how much of a dominant force he can be on the defensive side of the court as well.
Repeatedly, SGA has declared his ambition to become one of the all-time greatest basketball players. His two-way playing style, reminiscent of the legendary Michael Jordan, makes it increasingly easier to invision how the rising Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can do just that.

Have to agree. I think we are one of if not the best team in the NBA rn and I still feel like we have a lot more growth on the team. I have a weird feeling the Thunder are going to go on a dynasty and run a never ending storm on the NBA

I’m glad I came across this channel and this video. You’ve contextualized and qualified all aspects of SGA’s game for those who have yet to do their due diligence. These upcoming playoffs will be the year we see him breakout in a real way, similar to MJ in ‘86. If SGA knows any better, he’d keep you close. As I can see the authenticity, commitment and passion you have for narrating his game and persona. It’s similar to who Ahmad Rashad was for MJ or who Brian Windhorst is for LeBron. This video not just good, its brilliant. You’re forgiven to make stuff this rarely - just cause its that good. W/ regards to subject: one thing than separates MJ from other superstar players - when he was coming at the rim, scoring felt inevitable. The only player since prime MJ with that kind of offensive vibe was Toronto’s Kawhi: when he was at high post looking for mid-range, it was money 99 times of 100. Not sure if SGA seems as that caliber of threat, but he’s close.

He is most definitely that caliber of threat. His midrange is Cash Money Records and his rim pressure is an auto AND1 every time. He’s the best two way player in the league hands down. Only player that nears him in that space is Giannis, but Giannis doesn’t have the bag that Shai has. Shai is the closest we’ve seen to MJ & Kobe in gameplay, form and will. He will over time covet Durant’s greatest scorer of all time title. What we are witnessing is the dawn of a future GOAT. Mark my words

his game is slower, but otherwise pretty much iverson game there. the jumpshot, release, drive layups, step back, fade away to the left, low dribbling etc...taller and slower Iverson?
