The Pascua Yaqui Festival of the Arts combines art, live music, food, community and lowriders for one of the most unique happenings in Southern Arizona. The festival was originally designed to showcase Native American artists but has evolved into an event for the whole family to enjoy.

I NEED TO MOVE TO ARIZONA TO SHARE MY ART WITH MY FELLOW YAQUIS. My only hope is that they understand what I am trying to do regardless of being a "lost soul".

Bro as long as you got the proof to back up who you are you're welcomed I'm not from there but my dad is brown. He's a man of Yaqui/Mayo heritage raised in Nothern/northwest Mexico in Choix Sinaloa grew up in a pueblo. my mom is white and I got the white skin in the family lol. It's something I always felt insecure about but I think what it comes down to is showing the love for the culture trying to learn about it and learn about who you are and where you come from. My dad and that side of the family always did their best to raise us to know about where we come from and who our ancestors are. It's something I will always appreciate and respect. The majority of my family is Mexican more or less so we were just raised more from my dad's side.

You & me both. I have Yaqui blood from my mom side & she don’t know shit about shit. So I don’t know much only what my tia has told me but she recently passed away, I wish I knew more

Good idea lots of people claiming to belong to a tribe jus because they are not white. We maybe mix with European and Many other different tribes we maybe Cherokee Navajo Huichol mix with European that make us Mestizos. Blood tests is a great idea.

@@Jerryford2019 there's things anyone can say but as growing up the eldest sits on the ground and is surrounded by the children and they start telling you how they lived what they did then you can understand. During my life I've had different messages from my ancestors. Seeing a dove at the window trying to talk and watching how you were receiving blessings from the woman that gave you life to me being able to see that dove and on my daily walks that dove is always watching over me. When we we burrieing my grandmother there was a big beautiful wolf standing by a female deer watching her burial so this are real experiences that I have seen throughout my life and I also inherited the Shaman blood as a gift for my great grandmother she was also a caring aunt of Geronimo the Apache Indian that was fighting so the Spanish that came to conquer our land she would have food for him to take while watching over our land you see this type of stories are the one's that the white people don't want the world to know

I didn't saw a single Yaqui in the video. I saw e few claims to be but no Yaquis. You're not a Yaqui just because you live in Yaqui territory and you're not white.
