This patch was designed to convince people we need to go back to 6v6.

I think overwatch devs are trying to avoid the 6v6 debate by buffing and buffing endlessly. But im quite curious about what Aaron is gonna cook on that 6v6 debate / vlog.

As a Reinhardt Main... I don't want to play Dead by Daylight. I don't want to be a raid boss. I just want to be a part of the team. The only reason why Tank was so much fun in OW1 was because I had the capacity to take space and adequately threaten the backline enough to open opportunities for my dps to assassinate or chip damage enough before I have to seek cover or get bailed out by my second tank when I am overextended enough to catch me out in OW2. The window of time to threaten the backline is practically non existant with the dmg numbers of ow2, and this patch demonstrates the ignorance of the dev team to understand that the point of the 2nd tank was to maintain parity among all roles by preventing exactly what they are doing. At this rate... We need to eliminate the second dps and support and go to 3v3.

This was the stupidest patch I have ever seen from blizzard in a long time. Buffed tanks in all the wrong ways to make them enjoyable while also making every other role miserable to play against them. Tanks will probably be even more miserable with these changes but hey at least we all are going to join them.

Not even tank players wanted this. Even flats is saying this is an awful patch. It doesn't fix the issues that make tank feel awful to play while simultaneously making dps and support feel worse to play. This is a lose-lose situation.

Just tested these changes and Ramattra actually got heavily nerfed because his Nemesis Form went from a 7 second cooldown to 11 seconds for some reason

Tank players weren't asking for buffs, they were asking to not be counter swapped, CC'd ad nauseam.

Blizzard can't understand the difference between giving tanks more options vs just straight buffing heroes. If I'm able to have more counterplay to hard counters without straight up buffing my character that's what I want.

Watching Cass be playable and not the worst dps for 1 season before being absolutely gutted, then further kicked down to F tier over the course of 2 weeks has been devastating. I hope they add clown makeup to his face in the next patch to fit with the joke that he is.

Expectation: Wow, I'm finally able to play the game without melting instantly for being out of mitigation/cover for 1 second Reality: Wow, the enemy tank swapped to my counter and now I can't even play the game because I'm unable to even have a chance at outplaying my counter

Playing support is absolutely cancer this season. I've never played OW1 but wouldn't 6v6 make more sense than giga buffing tanks?

The problem is that blizzard doesnt know the difference between a role being underpowered and a role just simply not being fun. Tank was perfectly balanced if not too strong before the patch. It just felt like shit to play because of counter picking and being the kill target. The fact that tanks posed so much of a threat that teams counterpicked and targetted them in the first place is evidence tank was strong. Blizzard, in their typical room temperature iq fashion, decides that since tank isn't fun that means you have to buff every tank in the game. Complete incompetence.

just played and it feels very boring to do dps and some of the tanks or horrible and illari i can see becoming meta with her pylon and she can just turn and do dps while it heals her team mates tbh this 5v5 format just really sucks they need to nerf all the tanks and just bring back 6v6 so they all can work

7:26 the life steal is the craziest buff/mid season patch I have ever seen on an already broken character. And I’ve been playing this game since 2016

The Overwatch classification should be one in the open format, but it would be like this: You chose 2 tanks and you can't choose more or 2 dps or 2 healers, it would be 5 against 5 but with a limit of two heroes for each role, that is, you could have different compositions with balanced tanks, you could play 2 tanks, 2 dps and a healer, or 1 tank, 2 dps and 2 heals or 2 tanks, 1 dps and 2 heals, this would be a general rank avoiding trolling like the game in such a role I will troll and also the game would have the balance of the old combos in a balanced and intelligent way. Only Blizzard would do this to reduce the queue time because it would be one thing and it would also continue 5v5 •When I say balanced tank it is in the open queue format with less life, because by function since there can only be one tank as mandatory they have to be acquired with exaggerated life and exaggerated damage, and the way I said it wouldn't work To have 3 of each hero making a break like 3 tanks and two heals or some role left out, because there would necessarily have to be at least 1 of each role and a maximum of 2 of each role.

Thinking that over buffing tanks would solve the problem is so fucking stupid, it just made them more miserable, cuz they have so much value that you are almost forced to counterswap

As mercy, when u revive a teammate, it doesn't give you the xp for reviving them, nore does it count it for total revives.

What's up with the "wide group" or something when looking for a ranked? I wanted to come back to the game with a friend but it keeps matching for over 20 mins and one of the two games we played was with literal bots. We have the same estimated rank in placements, still taking so long. Also lobbies are full of russians. Is the game really so dead?

I used to get mad during OW1 games, but I'd absolutely have that over what it is now. Back then, there was a chance to do something really awesome with your team. It rarely happened while soloing, but now, they've removed all chance of doing something cool with your team. Just make it 5v5 DPS deathmatch already - blatantly the player base they want to attract

If Ram gets played then he'll be countered by Mauga/Hog. If Winston gets played he'll get countered by Hog/Mauga. If Zarya gets played, she'll get countered by Winston and maybe Dva. If Sig gets played, he'll get countered by Sig. If Hog gets played, he'll get countered by Mauga. If Dva gets played, she'll get countered by Zarya and quite probably Mauga. If Rein gets played, he'll get countered by basically everyone. If Ball gets played, he'll get countered by basically everyone. Oh... and Orisa will get countered by everyone that's been powercreeped. And Queen, I mean who plays her with everything being better than her.

I like how everyone was complaining since the literal launch of the game about "raid boss tanks" such as Orisa, Roadhog, Ramatra and Mauga that seemed to never die without an anti-nade, and they devs somewhat said "what if every tank was like that". Like you just buffed tanks and armour, and it was already enough, in fact, the only reason why it wasn't straight up too much is because those raidboss tanks were nerfed to let place to classic tanks. The season was so enjoyable and the last balance patch was amazing, what the hell is this ?!
