The old man in still here is a future version of Yasuo, that's why in the cinematic he just knock the goons out with the wind around is blade, because he doesn't want to kill anymore

so i used to be super convinced the "first guy with the white hair" was Yone (Yasuo's brother) in the spirit world right after dying to his brother. I mean, you see the shadow pedals kill him right when he walks thru the "soul gate" (deterring from the 9-tailed fox) and his body petrify into the statue and sees HIMSELF say "you couldve saved them". Then outta pain, rage, and despair he conjured *something/someone* which we then think he conquers but as he looks back they "fuse" due to the last second bite. RECENTLY people have pointed out to me that its literally called "the ionian myth" so no one really knows i guess?? I'm sure Riot has specified somewhere but i can't find any concrete evidence for yall lol

I mean you're right.. It's in both Yone's lore and Yone's skin description... " When Yone awoke within the spirit realm, the weight of his failure crushed him. His fury flared, and he pounded his fists on the ground in rage. A rumbling laugh pierced his thoughts. He turned, and beheld a monstrous, humanoid spirit with a blood-red blade. It was a powerful azakana, a predatory entity that had long stalked Yone from beyond the veil." He looks different because it's based of a story for Ionians, and some details are changed\added by people who was re-telling it.

Some lore context as a person who is quite knowledgeable in the world of Runeterra. The white haired guy in the first trailer is Yone in the spirit realm. He has white hair because that is how he is portrayed there. He chose the dark path which a demon ‘Azakana’ was waiting. Right before he defeated the Azakana, he was bit by it and somehow revived him back to life. Now he wears the Azakana mask and hunts other demons. His brother Yasuo (the one who killed him) is being tormented by another Azakana (the old man). Yone, as a hunter, was his duty to kill this demon. It wasn’t necessarily to save his brother. Off course, being dead, realized that Yasuo was not guilty of slaying their master, which is why they fought to the death in the first place. Also at the end with the girl with whiskers. Her name is Ahri. This moment is monumental when it comes to league lore. Yasuo and Ahri are on their way to a different region called Bilgewater. This voyage is the set up to a major ‘Avengers’ level threat called the Ruination. A group of champions team up to defeat the Ruined king. There is a cinematic called ‘Ruination’ which is the direct continuation to this. I high recommend it! Also, I’m high af so not sure this comment was coherent.

Not actually Yone. It's just a character based on Ionian myth about 2 brothers which coincidentally aligns with Yone's and Yasuo's story.

if you already want the continuation of this and their journey to a region called Bilgewater, you should watch the "Ruined King: A League of Legends Story | Official Announcement Trailer" video. Just subbed!

I don't know all the lore, so a couple of people can explain it bit better, but this is what I know. Spirit Blossom - This is an Ionian festival were people from Ionian commune with the death. The spirit blosoms have not awakened for a while because Ionia was at war with NOxus, the second cinematic takes place a while after the first Ionian Invasion by Noxus, which is where Yasuo kills his brother. The first cinematic is about an Ionian myth, it is about this brother who was killed by his brother, and in his attempt to transfer into the after life, the demon that was attached to him, tried to feast on his soul, he managed to fend off the demo and somehow come back at this sort of human/demon hybrid. This same situation is also what happens to Yasuo's brother. Demons are these spiritual entities that feast off emotions, mostly negative emotions. The old man you see in the second cinematic is a demon feasting off Yasuo's emotions and guilt around killing his brother and all the killing he's done. That's something Yasuo must overcome. It's why he gets stronger as Yasuo gets weaker, and he tells Yone, even if you kill me, I will return, because as long as Yasuo's negative emotions still exists, the demons will arise. Demons started arising in Ionia after the Noxian invasion and the war due to all the negative energy and emotion surrounding it. Ionian is also a very highly spiritual place with a lot of spirit magic. It's the part of the world where the line between the spirit and natural world is the thinnest so spirits and men tend to coexists quite well. During the war Yasuo kills his brother because his brother came after him. Yasuo was accused of killing their master, but what really happened was Yasuo was tasked with protecting the master of the school but he instead snuck out to go fight in the war, when he came back, the master of the school was dead, and people noticed wind slashes. They assumed it was Yasuo, because he's the only one who knows the legendary wind technique as he was a prodigy taught by Master Souma. You can see in the flashback Yasuo fights Yone and beats him despite being the younger one. Yone says he has failed him because Yasuo is a bit hot-header and is constantly trying to prove himself, and Yone is just like my mans, chill, but he doesn't listen. The character that actually kills Master Souma is another league of legends character, that's Riven, you see her the Awaken cinematic, she's the girl with white hair fighting the guy in the cinematic. She asks Souma to destroy her weapon and in doing so it unleashes a blast so strong it kills Souma too. So it was an accident. So back to the main cinematic, we see Yasuo is still fighting the guilt of having killed his brother. He draws out his sword and notice how it looks stained with blood. He attemps to reconcile this issue by maybe communing with his brother during the spirit blossom event, but he's too late to make it up the mountain. So the oldman, who is actually Yasuo's demon offers an alternative. From my understanding the old man grows stronger off Yasuo's feelings of guilt, so when he gives him the drink and he has that flashback and relieves those memories, Yasuo gets weaker, and the demon gets stronger. At the end of the cinematic we see Yasuo and Ahri(another league character you haven't seen yet), make their way to Bilgewater, it's like a pirate region, and that leads to the ruined king, which is a league of legends action rpg game, as well as the ruination events. You'll understand the ruination when ya check out some of their other cinematics(mainly 2021)

But League of legends has a licensing studio(?) called Riot Forge, and they publish other league games. Hopefully we might get a God of War style game eventually but who knows. They have a lot of 2D games. There's Convergence(focused on Ekko in Zaun), the Mageseeker(focused on Sylas in Demacia), the Ruined King(Ahri, Yasuo, Illaio, Braum, Pyke in bilgewater), Song of Nunu which are all single player action rpgs, and there's game like Bandle Tale, and Hextech Mayhem. Song of Nunu is a 3D game.

@@lolnoob5015 Ruined King is 3D, as well. Kin of the Stained Blade ties into it: Yasuo is a playable character, and his story begins more or less where the cinematic left off. I'm pretty sure Hextech Mayhem isn't canon (haven't played it, but it looks like it's just some silly fun); Convergence definitely isn't canon, thankfully. The gameplay is okay, but the story is bafflingly dumb. Ruined King, Mageseeker and Song of Nunu are all canon, though, and drive the story forward in some pretty significant ways.
