Tyler was in my graduating class (Brighton High School, class of 2013). Tragically, as is made clear by this video, he didn't make it to graduation. And unfortunately, I did not know of him until graduation day as I was very far removed from our school's culture and spent all of my free time with kids from other high schools. That said, at one point during our graduation, they showed a video montage to commemorate the life of Tyler. As I'm sure you can imagine, the song they chose to set the video to was "It's Time". Oddly enough, it is one of the only things that I actually remember about that ceremony and that moment has stuck with me in the many years that have followed. After the ceremony, I asked my cousin, who also attended our school and was in our 2013 class, to tell me more about him, as she was far more in tune with the social fabric of our school than I was. She then explained who he was, people I knew who he was friends with, and gave more information about what had happened. High school can be such a challenging time, and our school like many others could sometimes be a hard place to exist in. We had our fair share of bullying, cliques, the stereotypical high school bullshit. But one thing I gathered about Tyler, after speaking to those who knew him, was that he was a truly remarkable person who was respected and well-loved. In fact, I later learned of a story that I believe perfectly exemplifies Tyler's selflessness. Following his struggles, Tyler was granted a wish through the Make a Wish foundation. He came to the conclusion that he would rather give his wish away to his friend who wanted to study computers but didn't have the financial resources to purchase one. Not only did Tyler's friend get to design his dream computer, but apparently there were leftover funds allocated to Tyler as the computer and its design did not eat up the entire wishes' budget. Tyler then decided to use the leftover money to fund a shopping spree at Target for a local refugee family. Apparently, this was true to who Tyler was, an altruistic and generous person. Often hard to find in people, no less a 17 y/o kid. It's a tragedy to have lost such a caring and compassionate soul too soon. I am certain he would have gone on to do great things, as he had already brought so much joy to others in his short but impactful life. The pain felt all throughout our community was immense and I'm sure was (and is) insurmountable for his parents. Thankfully, out of such darkness, a foundation was borne that continues to honor his legacy. Tyler, I am regretful that I never had the opportunity to speak with you in person or come to know you intimately. But I know from hearing the stories after the fact that you were loved, respected, and continue to be deeply missed. Thank you Imagine Dragons for continuing to honor his legacy and giving back to others like him. We need more of this in our world.

My grandpa died of cancer in 2002 and its a terrible sick, he lost his voice cuz it was lumps cancer. And now I have a neighbor who has skin cancer, he's old but he was so full of life before it starts going to his brain and make him being really sick. This is one of the worse sickness and lot of people die because of it and I'm so happy that there's foundations that help people with cancer. I just wish we can finally get a cancer free world. Good job and Tyler RIP!

Great family. Great story. Funny how this young dude never once asked for a hand out from the juggonuat. I'm so happy to see that someone with financial power and gain can help those who need it most. Breaks my heart to know that there are children in this world facing this. The family members deal with the brunt of it. Imagine Dragons will always be known for this. When the days are over and the fame washes away they can honestly say they stepped up and helped. I lost my sister to cancer when she was five an I was six. there is no easy way to deal with cancer. by the grace of god he shows us the positive that we are to learn from it. it may not be what we want but we grow stronger to help those going through the same thing. the most important message is god real an we must believe . there's a reason why things happen an we may never know the why.

This is such a great subject for the fourth password it's a fantastic way to raise awareness for both cancer and the foundation

I know this story, but not all, i know only when you release DEMONS that Tyler robins is die for a cancer and this made me cry, but now that i know all the history, this made me cry more then the first time. I *CAN NOT* express how hard I cried during this video. I have known people with cancer and thought, "Oh. They have cancer. I truly feel sorry for them.". But this video showed me I didn't even really know how cancer can change someones life. This one story about Tyler is sooooo sad. And just to imagine that there's more cases out there................I can't explain how sad and depressed I feel right now. Those people who don't cry during sad stuff, if they see this, I bet they cry their hearts out. It's weird really, how this makes people so sad, and they never even met the guy. I hope that Tyler's friends, family, even people who don't really know him, feel better. I know their hearts will never fully heal after this life changing event, but I still wish them better fortune. And I want to say, I know how they feel.

I'm crying right now.

I was at their concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma last February when they introduced the foundation and dedicated their performance of Its Time to Tyler and it was phenomenal. The most outstanding part was that they donated all the concert proceeds to the foundation. Me and my friend were both in tears because it meant so much to us considering we have also lost a friend that battled cancer. I will be honored to make donations soon in the future! What a wonderful charity and group supporting it.

I'm 15 years old. I have a little friend named Wyatt. When he was 2 he was diagnosed with cancer and is still battling it. I couldnt image that pain him and his family are going through.
