One of the very best wild camping spots in the Peak District, but it's not without it's flaws.....
Wild Camping with humour! Real outdoor life. No frills. No Bullsh!t.
Camping, Hiking, Kayaking, Canoe and Vanlife - we do it all here.
Products honestly reviewed (we can't stand those fake 'unboxing reviews')
We're just a couple of 'happy go lucky' people with a passion for showing how fun the outdoors is!
Take a look and see what you think.
*All content on our channel is our own opinion and our own views. All products reviewed are based on our own findings and we will not be swayed by a company to provide biased reviews, please do not contact us if this is your intention, it is not helpful for anyone to adopt this practice! All camps and days out are our own experiences of the outdoors and how 'we' like to enjoy it personally. Any negative 'troll like', abusive or foul language type of comments will not be approved to show on the channel and the user blocked from future comments showing on our channel (they will only show to the 'said user'). This is to keep the community the nice, friendly and helpful place we have always found it to be. We operate a leave no trace ethos when we camp and try and minimise the impact we have from camping in a location. Any fire ash is doused with water and ash is dispersed/covered and all rubbish removed. We'd encourage others to do the same.

As an old bushman and guide (and still am) there is nothing that would surprise me anymore as to the thing's newbies will bring along on a tramp (hike). I always do a pack check before we set off, I have seen, hairdryers, large heavy radios (the shoulder type), heavy books (for a read, should it rain) and many other crazy things. After one or two trips they soon learn. I have had people turn up without, knife, fork or spoon, without wet weather gear, wearing city shoes with thin socks. I sometimes was able to lend some gear and save the day but at other times they were so deficient in so many things that I had to turn them away, even if they had paid at the office. Sometimes heavy packs are not always bad, they build strong bones and muscles, and the body soon adapts to the weight. Enjoyed the video ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😀😀PS almost forgot, Happy birthday Zoe 🍦🍦🧁🧁

Our first camp was in that exact spot. We found out all about the slope! And the little brook that runs just behind and gets surprisingly loud thru the night. Just too damned busy now. That being said we met a chao that first night who we've camped with a few times since and will be a friend for life so it's all good

long time viewer fist time commenting,I love content(I'm a massive wild camper)I love the chemistry between yourselves . I spend a lot of time in that area and have done for a while now it was in that area where I came upon a large wild cat print a couple of weeks ago. this little area has gone down hill (excuse the pun)over last 12 months . idiots running around with oversized saws and axes smashing and sawing everything in sight it's disgusting they have no respect whatsoever for that little area it's so sad.look forward to next video, take care and God bless dudes.

Knew where you were, and where you were going to camp within 5 seconds of the video starting 🤣. Last time I went there it was like a campsite so I shy away from it now, shame because it's such a lovely place. I'm binge-watching my youtube subscriptions now, don't think I haven't noticed you uploading a million videos trying to make me further behind. You should come with us one day, we'll introduce you to year-round wild swimming. Last camp I went in a waterfall not far from Crowden, it was TOASTY WARM.... honest 🥶.

Thanks again for another entertaining video. Happy Birthday girl, your'e obviously doing something right. Whats the method of making Skittle rum?? Didn't you do the same with Vodka a while back? Recipe again please. Happy Camping.
@GarethZoeWildcamps
@GarethZoeWildcamps Жыл бұрын
Literally just tip skittles into near rum or vodka, leave overnight to dissolve and then filter through a bit of t-shirt material (filters the wax out). That's it. You can split the colours/flavours if ya want. 2 packs of skittles will do 1 litre of spirits. Works with starburst and worthers originals too.

Thanks Cat, the higher bit of woodland is wrecked after the storms last winter. That top path is always sodden. The lower section of woods is your best bet really. Always has been in the 6 or 7 years we've been camping there at least. Just not perfectly flat. Lol at the sausages, you know us well 🤣
