In this video:
Born into a poor peasant family in a foreign land, no one had worse odds to become the ruler of the Byzantine Empire than Basil. Yet, through a combination of hard work, scheming, murder and competence, Basil ascended to the Byzantine throne and enjoyed 19 years of relatively peaceful rule.

Earliest I've even been to a video! Do a video on the history of Pluto and why people refuse to believe it's no longer a planet
@jmchez
@jmchez 5 жыл бұрын
1. Pluto's orbit is more than twice as eccentric (elliptical) than any other planet. 2. Pluto's orbit is about 17 degrees inclined to the orbit of the other eight planets. 3. The other eight planets have cleaned out their orbital paths, Pluto is surrounded by Solar System debris. 4. The first four planets are rocky, small with a high density. The next four are gaseous, large with a low density. Pluto is icy, really small with a medium density. So, Pluto does not follow any criteria that you can come up with for what a planet is. It is its own thing.

Because my astronomy professor (who is a legit astronomer) in college said that the measurements the folks that were supposed to say whether or not it was a planet measured it wrong. (Seriously, the controversy isn't for naught, they are legitimate scientific questions).
@HD3DProductions
@HD3DProductions 5 жыл бұрын
@Happy Hitler actually I'm not, as you should have been able to tell from my comment if you read it properly, considering I asked why people refuse to believe it's not a planet anymore. Not that I think you will believe me considering your response makes it pretty clear that you are one of those people who believe they are smarter than anyone else and need to make others feel insignificant through your veil of anonymity that the internet allows you to have, so thanks for your response.
@terrafirma5327
@terrafirma5327 5 жыл бұрын
@Happy Hitler Do you even understand the definition of a planet? The definition was an arbitrary one that was made up by astronomers for convenient classification. We really need a clearer way to define what a planet is, but we don't have one yet. The view I defer to is the definition that scientists who study planets use, which is an object that has enough mass to make it spherical. Since these are the world experts on planets... we really should using their definition, but that is my opinion. There are valid reasons for both definitions, and I am not saying the way I view it is correct. However, being dismissive of an ARBITRARY classification because you don't like it, doesn't mean your opinion is any more valid or that someone must be stupid or into conspiracy theories if they think otherwise. You are failing as a true scientist if you take this approach. This behavior you have shown is a disgrace to scientist and education itself, I urge you to be more thoughtful about what you say in the future. Categories based on arbitrary decisions do not define the properties of an object in science.

@itarry4
@itarry4 5 жыл бұрын
The answer to your question is no. Flipping the middle finger as a insult was around in ancient Rome and probably ancient Greece. Its to do with the Latin for Middle finger which is digitus impudicus which means unchaste finger? No idea why but the gesture was seen as a symbol of anally penertrating a man.

Cuz the emperor was still banging his mistress. The marriage was a sham essentially to keep the mistress from being disgraced and executed. The "good little servant's" first wife subsequently probably just became his mistress and he probably continued to have children with her.
