This documentary tells the behind the scenes of English football club, Everton FC. All the stories of those who, away from the spotlight, guarantee a club to grow and improve every day. From the chef to the kit-men, passing through the head steward and the people who manage the club-fans relationship. An unprecedented journey where the cameras don't usually go.
In the city of Liverpool, the community around the Toffees is not always recognised. A club rich in history and tradition that has made its relationship with the city community its real strength.
This is an episode of the original series "The Unknown", which is written by Andrea Pettinello and produced by RedFir Production.

We have always been the people's club. We have been since 1878 and we'll continue to be. EITC and the stuff they do to help people is amazing. We might not be the best on the pitch but our club will always be there for the fans. That's something that I will always be proud off.

Ditto mate! Villa were one thee teams until the fifties through to the seventies, but came good in the early eighties as we did in the mid eighties. Sadly we weren’t allowed to try to win the EC thanks to Dark Side cultists! Everton v Aston Villa. Most played fixture in English football. Says a lot doesn’t it

During the Pandemic last year Liverpool FC furloughed their staff while Everton FC's Duncan Ferguson bought and delivered a tv set to an aging Toffee who lived alone and had no access to football matches. The people's club? You bet your life it is 💙

I'm Italian and Lazio Fan from Rome and I've spent three weeks in 2013 for a summer school. I have to admit that I like Liverpool team and Klops, the family/team who they are... But whenİ was there I bought Everton Jersey and I think the Liverpool FC is the team which won more, but the historical team which rappresenta Liverpool is Everton, also because is the old team of the city. Liverpool is a good team for me and in Champions League I support it, but Everton Football means Liverpool city of course!

We (eventually) invited the Chilean Everton to Goodison a number of years ago for a close season friendly. It should have happened years ago really. I travelled down from the North East, 200 miles away because it was a landmark moment in both our histories. Great occasion, met three great Chilean guys who were living in Cologne in Germany, so they travelled further than me! Great memories!

I’m an Aussie. Didn’t know much about Everton at the start but they resignated with. We had a channel down here called SBS and every Sunday night they’d play epl highlights. All I wanted to watch was Everton. There’s no rime nor reason to it I just SUPPORT them. My wish came true 6 years ago when I ticked something off my bucket list and went to Goodison and will stand to this day and say it was the BEST sporting event I’ve been to. State of Origin rugby league etc included. COYB !!! ❤

Maybe because i am far away from Liverpool, and i don't feel the tension by tofees and reds, but i got too much respect for Everton FC, and not only for Mr Ancelotti my compatriot, and one of my prefer coach absolutely. We can joke, we are rival, but rispect for the club of Dixie Dean and the Holy Trinity for me It true. I am an italian fan of Liverpool FC.

I’m from America and from I’ve learned, the “tension” really has brewed from the on-pitch rivalry and fan segregation, and other matters I won’t get into which then becomes a matter of perspective. Other than that, it really families and a essentially a split down the middle between red and blue and despite that, it’s a city and community that’s come together comes in times of crisis.

@@isaiahpavia-cruz678 i can only Imagine what you say, because i am not at the stadium every week in my city, but it's light in our nations football Is not only a sport, but one culture, and sometimes the crown of social tensions. In Italy until the start of covid 19, in many stadiums we had troubles of racism, the simple rivalities of centuries by two cities (Bergamo and Brescia, Napoli and Salerno for example) it can be a trouble of public order. In England these things are ended years ago, but it's guaranteed for example with londiners club there more than a simple rivality, same for Liverpool and Manchester. For example i have always troubles when i find some supporters of united and Chelsea. Not everybody obviously, but we have a bad feeling with them.

They wanted Dean (Everton), but Lennon switched him out for Stubbins (LFC) at the last minute. Stubbins is the only footballer on the cover. Dean, a pre-WWII player, is STILL Everton’s leading scorer with 383 goals.

As an American, the only way we can relate to English football culture is through college athletics. People love their professional sports teams over here but we are 'ride or die' for our college teams. It may be hard for Europeans to grasp but the connection to the community that college teams have is similar to European football clubs. Regardless, I love it all!

This is my club. I found them. they found me. I had yet to choose a club yet, I wasnt even a PL fan. I was your typical every 2 year USA fan. In the 90s and into the 00s Tim Howard was my favorite American player and was the keeper for my home state Rapids. I was unaware that he was a Blue. Rooney again from my every 2 year purge on the international stage also rooted England and Rooney was my favorite English team player. so when I stumbled upon the team last season during their relegation match Vs C.P. I was glued from the get go. Goodison Park atmosphere. The fans. the match. the final tally. everything about sent me overboard with sports love. I found a football home. I am a Blue. I was born a blue. I just didn't know it until I was 41. UTFT!! COYB

We are one of the greatest clubs in the world, because we care for our club , we don't need success but it's nice but we still hold a great respect everywhere we go , because we are Everton the people's club, and l used to stand in the boys pen it was called in the 70s , one day going to school a man stopped me and said are you BLUE or red, l said BLUE. The man said here you are lad , take my pen , joe royal is in the western approaches garage getting petrol. I was 9 and joe royal was my idol. Could not do anything in school that day . COYB.

Always had a soft spot for Everton, fans have always been good and friendly. The stuff they did for Bradley Lowery when we played them made me even more fond of them. Don't like Tim Cahill though 😭

As much as I'd love to see Everton in the Championship (as a fan of a Championship side), I hope they stay up this year. Their fans don't deserve relegation. Quite possibly the 4th biggest club in England

In our current troubles at Everton,I would make the current squad sit and watch this short film film " The people's club" to show the players exactly what Everton means to the fans.
