Times they are changing, thank god...I live and work on a farm in Shropshire it's organic, biodynamic and we are regen.... we work with the Alan Savory holistic management system. Agri forestry is great for our animals as they can self medicate when needed so win win. We are now transitioning to a community owned farm, on site we have a homeopathic vet, organic box scheme, organic dairy, meat beef and lamb, so yes we are so grateful for this wonderful time in as the astrology unfolds.....

I live in a city in Denmark and I coown a little farm . I pay monthly and Young eco farmer family rent it - so they did not have to borrow money to be able to farm organic food .

I'm grinning from ear to ear..watching my two favourite people!..been growing my own organically for about 50 years & long may I continue.

Thank you. We have farm to plate here in Tasmania with veg and meat. You can also buy complete meals prepared from the farms involved. We have community farming and of course local garden share. My water comes from a Spring and I have solar arrays for power. We are a small state and farms are used on a yearly rotation. Potatoes are a big crop and so is pyrethrum daisy for pest management products. Farmers harvest and shallow plough back into the ground to control potato diseases. The land May then go through a potato or onion or carrot crop, then peas hay or barley which ends up as straw bales. Cattle are then introduced onto cut straw or grassed paddocks laying fallow. I am amazed at the consistency in use and build here.

I had DREAMS of doing something similar to this, along with getting a passive ' grow-op", going with my ag/ farmer/ garden neighbors - who always grew more food than they could consume from 1996- 2012. No. One . Was interested- I was just the " crazy agricultural & foodie lady". Did my own thing, but now here I am, now having to move to an apartment- no yard, etc. Was I " crazy" ? Hell no, I was a futurist!

I started a small garden for over summer and then deal with some of the local farmers for my produce for canning/freezing for winter. I still consider this fresh because I know where it comes from and how it's processed. The excess I have, I give to my neighbours. Thank you.

One thing that struck me whilst listening, was rhe example of my own community pub. It was taken over a few years ago and has a cinema screen upstairs, yoga classes running and other get togethers. Farms could offer associated educational, leisure and social activities. I'm also convinced that if all levels of society are involved positively in their society it can reduce crime. This feels good. 😊

It is so inspirational, and this is where we, as the people, are moving towards. And it starts with you. Nothing as rewarding to see how everything is growing and the ecosystem that you create in the process. Frogs, birds, bees, butterflies, and all the other visitors working with nature to get all in balance. It doesn't matter the size. You are creating an ecosystem for all to thrive and the soil to heal. The garden then becomes your masterpiece, the healer and the creator to love and share with all living beings. Even planting all herbs for our domestic cats and dog to self select, their own medicine. It is magic in the making! Big love from South Africa.

Also, water companies should stop polluting our rivers and seas with sewage. Instead, use it as fertilizer on farmland. Sewage is an excellent source of nitrogen.

Whoot Whoot! Australia got a mention. I have bought food from the local organic farmer's market for 20 years. I knew it was better food and I resent supporting the big 2 supermarkets who have a monopoly on the market. They have eradicated a lot of choice to buy Australian. Companies I grew up with like Arndmona and Edgells, SPC, Golden Circle. All being replaced by the Supermarket's own brand. They have a 'sale' of the other brand and then they put their brand in at a much lower price or they no longer stock the other brand. Makes me so cranky. They manipulate prices. The research shows Australians are buying much less because they can no longer afford it. So wrong and so wrong for the farmers.

Love this. Love this platform and the opportunities for farmers and the public to connect in new ways. On the CO2 with farmers pumping in supplemental supply, fwiw we see a lot of carbon dioxide being produced when we have measurable beneficial fungi building the soil along with all the other great benefits to working with soil building fungi. In these cases there typically is not a need to pump in CO2 when the fungi is sufficient. Great work! Excellent show. Thank you for your work both of you 🙏

There is so much wisdom in this approach! What comes to mind when thinking about taking back control in co-operation with nature is the reality of Self control. In other words we humans are nature and in this exquisitely designed earth that we share, the original intention for nature is a respectful collaboration between every part working together for the greater good. This is an amazing update and so invigorating to listen to! I'm so envious not to be in the UK to be part of this. The lack of water here in Southern Spain is currently an issue for growing good veg and fruit etc personally or successfully here. But I would love to be pointed in a direction to see if we could set up something here on the Costa Blanca if there is anything going already. It would be also be interesting to see what would happen if Katherine had an alliance with Holly Tucker too and her amazing energy for small home grown businesses in the UK!

Such optimism is wonderful to hear particularly after Neil Oliver spoke of government regulations intended on controlling individuals who grow their own food or have chickens unregistered!!!! I am hearing of such intended government controls in Crete, where we have lived for the last 20years so that my family can enjoy the land's produce.....People love real food and know the difference when eating it and growing it etc.......Nature must be represented....!!!!

In our rural farming area in Oklahoma USA, the young adults at High School level take Agriculture classes. This might be an area to get started with the Youth.
