Great review. I picked one up today as a compliment to my Rolex Explorer. I wanted something with a bit more presence, a little more casual. It’s chunky in a good way, looks great my 7 inch wrist. Perfect business casual / jeans / travel / swim watch, really nice that it has 200m WR. Anyone thinking about a diver should check this beauty out. I love this as much as my Explorer, and it’s half the price, what a steal.

I totally agree with the disadvantage given (about the height and weight). I am wearing the BB GMT for about 2 months now, and i really like it, but if they could’ve made it less higher than you would have this old rolex gmt vintage watch look (like from the 60’s..) but somehow i think they made a really good choice to not totally copying that and giving it it’s own character. Thanks for the review and your opinion, I happened to own this watch and a Rolex Batman on an Oyster bracelet. Getting to wear both I have learned their differences and their strengths. The Tudor is an excellent watch and very well made, keeps excellent time, 200mm , 3 time zones and 70 hr power reserve, easy of reading the time too, less flashy and able to go where I don't feel my Batman can (travel to some countries outside the USA) My Batman is 3 time zone, 48 hr power reserve & 100mm blah, blah, blah. What people need to understand, buying the Diet Pepsi is not buying a Rolex, you will not get the AHHHH your looking for in a room of Rolex, in that room you'll get OHHHHH, but don't kid yourself every Rolex owner knows this watch whether they care to or not. It is a watch that is excellent quality and stands on it's own two legs. Again for those who need a Rolex to get their fix, this watch isn't the answer. If you want a really great watch, buy it , wear it and just love it, like I do. I actually give a lot of wrist time to my Tudor because I love it, Don't let the jealous people tell you FAKE, KNOCK OFF etc. Proud owner and now thinking of getting the BB 58 Blue and to honest. I refuse to pay grey market prices for a watch. I work to hard for my money. This is my opinion and all the best. Thanks again for a great video.

Nice review. Seems like a really nice and very well made watch. Personally, not something, I would get, just not my thing. If I was going to go for a high end GMT Diver, I would go for the Omega Planet Ocean GMT, I’m just a bigger fan of the slightly larger saturation divers. Hope everything is goin well with the present situation. I am considered an essential worker, so I will still be traveling to work. I work in New York City, it’s almost unreal how empty it is during regular working hours.

Im glad you mentioned the size of the indices. You are absolutely right, thats why I dont have that GMT. If it only had the Indices sized like the 58...

The bezel insert is aluminum, not stainless steel.

As an owner, the watch wears a little slimmer because the case bottom is almost flush with the slab sides. It really works well. However, I just purchased the factory strap for it, much lighter, comfortable for Summer. All good. Thank you for the review. Now all that is needed is for Tudor to start shipping them again. Remember, 40% of all luxury watches go to Asia, so U.S.A. is not the prime market.

I own both GMT movements, the ETA feels cheep by comparison. Also COSC +6 to -4. I also think it's 48 click bezel. I like the chunkier feel of the Tudor.

It is a very nice and chunky piece. I love the Pepsi bezel. It seems to change shades depending on the angle. However, the case back scratches too easily when rubbed against the bracelet resulting in unsightly marks.

Very nice watch and review. It does seem a bit thick. I think another person commented questioning why Tudor doesn’t use a flat crystal. That would seem to solve the problem. Overall, it’s a great looking watch with many fine features. Nice job!

I purchased one of these beauties about six months aga and I have nothing but good things to say about the watch, it is stylish, comfortable, tough as nails and keeps great time. My only niggle is that I find it a bit heavy on my wrist.

Yes it's a Pepsi Bezel GMT you can buy if you have 3k to spare or after realising it's just a watch and you are still willing to drop that kind of money on it. If you are either of these you can't really go wrong with Tudor. It's a fantastic brand

I'm in when a Class Action Lawsuit in filed on the Tudor Black Bay GMT. Tudor has been selling this watch since 2018 with a known movement defect and continues to sell it. Mine started jumping two days at a time at 6 months and has been at the Rolex Service Center in Dallas since March 15th 2020. The expected repair time is another 8-12 weeks so 5-6 months .

I have it and I love it. It works flawlessly l.

Beautiful watch. You can pick up a lot cheaper pre owned then new, so I'd advise shopping around if you're thinking of getting. Just be prepared for the "looks like a rolex clone" comments.

Having just picked mine up last month, I can say that it is a cracking watch for sure. I wanted it when they first came out two years ago but wasn't living near an AD and the ones I visited out of state didn't have them. I'm kind of glad I waited because Tudor now offers a 5 year warranty, instead of 2. What I will say is I was on the waitlist for almost a year... just shy of 11 months just to actually get one. I wouldn't say you can actually buy these at retail, in the United States at least, because ADs still don't have them in stock. The ones that do are probably only on the NATO strap, and nobody wants that one. ADs are still holding onto these and the BB58 for 'preferred customers'. It's also important to note that Tudor has increased pricing on many of their watches so this one on the bracelet now costs $4050 as opposed to $3900 when it was first announced.

I bought this watch 3 weeks ago £3k after a slight price increase, this watch with all the negativity regarding its bulky wear, it is a give away at this price point. The Bank of England further cutting interest rate to 0.1% base rate inflation is eroding any money sitting in the bank so I decided to buy something that I would enjoy wearing. England is under total lockdown so my Tudor GMT was on my wrist whilst doing the gardening a task that my DateJust is very familiar with, 3 hrs later it is still keeping perfect time. It's a tool watch I suppose. This Tudor GMT is the best value for money in my box, whilst it is bulky, it wears very well on my 16 cm wrist with a heft that you do not expect from steel watch, it is a heavy watch but very easy to wear. I'm yet to bash it on the door frame as the weight lets you know it's on your wrist. It's worth every penny and punches above it weight. Thanks for your review!

I love this watch, but does it have the je ne sais quoi of a Rolex?

Not a 60 click bezel, but rather a 48 click to display time zones that are half and quarter hour differences (there are a few).

Its a nice watch for sure but in many ways a homage to the Rolex version. I think the case does sit a little high but not as much as the Rolex so better for most wrists which is a positive. Something about it screams function and not something I'm in love with enough to buy. Thanks for the video.

About the index size, it looks like Tudor lifted them straight off the old Explorer II. I’ve got mine on right now and they look identical, but the Rolex is a smaller watch overall. Stay safe Brother, don’t forget to wash your hands.

I bought one 6 months ago and many people have been reporting problems with the Date wheel function. Watch U Seek as well as the Tudor Facebook group have tons of threads. Mine finally failed after 6 months and the date started jumping two days for 3 days straight. It's currently back at RSC and I have to say I'm pretty pissed that Tudor apparently has put a movement in a watch knowing it has a design defect. Google Tudor GMT Date problem and discover for yourself.

Heard so many people with date issues though. Really put me off and has put my mind firmly on the BB58.

In between this watch and the pelagos. I really wish the black bay had a ceramic bezel and that woulf make it a no brainer 😕

I hope they fixed the date issues with these watches when they first came out, had a lot of problems. I had to send my back twice!

I agree with your comments if the GMT had a flat crystal it would be 13mm thick, I used to own a Pelagos that is 14.3mm thick but with flat crystal and it was too thick. Once I tried it on I bought one as like I say, it wears more like a 13mm thick watch. The issue is a lot of the thickness is on the case and not more evenly distributed amongst the bezel, case etc

I really like this watch and would love a GMT but it’s just too big for my wrists, I own a BB58 and that’s probably about as big as I can go

So I went into an AD in Houston,TX. Looking for a Rolex, any Rolex... Well, any Rolex but a Cellini. Aaaaand just like the heartbreak experienced over & over, I struck out. They of course were also a Tudor AD as well. Long story short, I purchased the “diet” Pepsi Tudor GMT with a leather strap. Do I love the heritage and history? Without a doubt. More importantly, do I love the watch? No, because it’s not what I really what I wanted. I’m a bit envious of horology individuals who know what to look for. Wearing it in a shop provides little insight into this being the watch for me. To date, it’s been in the box for 5 days with absolutely 0 wear. I’m reading reviews & watching countless videos to know for sure if we can make it passed the honeymoon phase. This being my 1st big watch purchase; I question if this was a good buy or impatient purchase. Thanks again for a great video. Cheers!

Nice watch but I find the case to be a little large.

I think a lot of people view this as an affordable alternative to Rolex. But if you really want the Rolex and just 'settle' for this, I think you will be disappointed. You've got to just like this watch for what it is and the value it brings.

I love the black bay but somehow i find the GMT version really not of my taste... maybe if the bezel was ceramic ? Or a batman? I don’t know I think the double colour doesn’t look good on it

this watch has a dud movement. i have one. its at rolex to fix the movement. and i dont even know if they'll change it out, or tell me they'll just "fix" it. sigh...

I have the BB58 and absolutely love it's 39mm diameter. If they ever make the GMT in a 39mm version I would jump on it like a stray dog and buy it in a minute. Are you listening Tudor???

It's nice... Not amazing. The font on the numbers and the dark blue used on the bezel puts me off. I recently bought a Parnis Gmt in Pepsi for £60 that looks better.

Correction, the Tag Heuer WAY201f is the best and most original pepsi you can actually buy, be consistent in your research please. And quite thin at 13mm height, and shorter lugspan for a superior footprint. Point made.

Ridiculous thickness and with Aluminium bezel is very overpriced. It needs a ceramic bezel at this price. Mind you in a few months time if you have the money you will pick one up for 1500.
