Hello from the USA! A lovely recipe, for sure, but I’m not sure we would call this either bbq or dumplings. Empanadas? Pirogies?

I'd say those are pierogi, not very traditional ones (in terms of the filling and the dipping sauce), but the dough, it's preparation and the cooking method are rather typical. Additionally, he's Polish, so the idea for the recipe probably came from playing around with twists on the classic pierogi. Just a heads up, the word "pierogi" is already in plural, so there's no need to add "-es" at the end. Greetings from Poland.

The "bbq" is most likely a mistranslation and should be translated to "grilled" chicken, in Polish the word "grill" means "BBQ smoker/ grill"
