My favorite Spanish bread roll is the bocadillo de Jamón Serrano, which translates as Serrano Ham baguette. Whenever I'm in Spain I order this perfect bocadillo as many times as possible, for breakfast, for lunch. Jamón Serrano is top quality Spanish ham. Today I'm making this sandwich in the traditional way, absorbing grated tomato with olive oil into the bread roll for extra flavor and complexity.
