Definitely depends on deck size, I typically cap out on 5 with a ~30 card deck. I don't usually do claw strats, but a boss swap into double glacier, claw and echo form is certainly one way to make claw strats work at a20 😆

Yeah, Hologram is easily one of the most powerful common cards, along with Cut Through Fate and Piercing Wail.

@@jacobwansleeben3364 Shrug it Off is also really good. Cut Through Fate is sadly outshined though just because Watcher is broken, but on any other character it would be a core common card.

Sure but when you're a streamer you have to play in an entertaining way (the "optimal" way niche being already occupied by Jorbs :P). Playing in ways that explore the game rather than optimise it makes for interesting content. Some content creator go full monty on extreme unlikely spectacular deck. I like Baalorlord way of playing overall just very well but at times pleasing the chat with a touch of meme decking. Sunder here for instance was the classic pick he didn't make bc he knew he was likely to get away with it and it would make for a more rewarding deck play later on. That being said and for discussion's sake: I think Cold Snap was genuinely bad. It was bringing nothing to the table (he already had huge cold orb generation, and it's way worse dmg than claw). Rainbow really was irrelevant here with no card to make the dark or electro orb better. Recursion + I agree was very pickable. The reason not to is if you get it turn 1 with that deck that start with zero orb it does nothing if you don't have orb generation either (or can't make it bc you have to play an echo form). When picking a card, the most common mistake is to see its scaling potential but not see how it can kill you if drawn on turn I or II. Darkness (unupgraded) was really bad here IMO. One unupbraided loop and no focus, at odds with the deck that is about chain evoking frost orbs for block rather than controling them, completely unnecessary damage and frankly slower damage than the All 4 one / claw synergy. Beam Cell was again the kind of card that sounds cool with what you do once you've scaled but can kill you if it makes it hard to draw the cards you actually need to scale, and bring something (big damage) that's actually already there. I know I would have been more tempted by a go for the eyes (big block value end game) by that's just me being a lesser player as Baalorlord correctly assessed that was not needed - hence slowing him down without helping him. Sorry for the super pedantic tone here, try to visualise you slapping me with a large trout to compensate :P

He already had 2 Glaciers, so Cold Snap is not necessary at all. Same with Recursion+, as he stated, it's only good after full set, but once full set up is done either enemy is dead, or he already is blocking for more than enough. Darkness also is less optimal as you are already killing everything with claw and all you need is a block otherwise. Agree with you beam cell and Sunder. But yeah, Baalor did it right IMO, claw deck needs a draw, a draw, a draw and block in that order.

And by "extremely generous to the game" you mean he opts to play "Glitch less" which is favored by most viewers too. Do you know you can very easily edit game file for other forms of cheats? You can even print the card and invent new rules that makes you win big with ridiculous margin if that's what tickles your fancy. :)

@@redford4ever But that uses something not already in the game to cheat. I've been hoping the creators might find a way to patch a fix for this, which they never did, but until it's fixed, it's like using an exploit the creators left in there of their own choice.

@@RoderickEtheria This is certain to plague daily climbs for one thing. No disagreement here. But if you play A20, it's a non issue. I mean most solo games have exploit and some players use them and some don't. It only becomes a problem in the context of competition. So not in standard A20 format like that one here. Unless I don't get your point?

You can also cheese pandora’s box and do alota other scuffed things in this game. Most players don’t do that though unless they’re doing a speedrun cause it goes against the spirit of the game.
