You are correct no such thing as a starter or learner bike . I have held a full licence for decades , I purchase & ride the type & engine size that suits my purpose at the time ,be it a 125 cc or a massive super bike . 👍

I agree with you. I really like this bike. What I ment was in the uk in particular people pass their test and go straight for 1000cc or bigger and I think you should get experience on something more manageable. This bike is plenty fast enough for anyone.

@maskedavenger2578 really what I was trying to say is you don’t need to get a stupidly large bike to start with. This is perfect to start on. Not to heavy, not to powerful, but still enough power to have lots of fun.

@@GillyBikes The problem is the U.K. motorcycle media , & there thirst for ever more horse power & ccs . I never remember anyone who referred to 500cc machines as learner bikes or 750 cc as mid range bikes back in the day . Now riders are made to feel they should get the biggest & fastest bike they can ,just because they passed their test. We started on small bikes & worked our way up gradually , & I reckon it made us better & safer riders . Unless a motorcycle is expected to carry two pie munchers plus everything plus the kitchen sick ,a 500cc machine is perfectly adequate for everyday real world riding . I never bother about horse power figures , all I need to know is will the bike serve its purpose & do what it’s designed to do , & do it reliably . 👍

Yes. I think the TRK 502 is the best selling bike in Europe. The Italians love them. The 702 is a million times better than the 502. They are improving with every new bike.

Very similar to be honest but price wise this new is a few grand more than the hunter. But as a used bike it’s great value just under 4k

I didn’t notice the RPM at 62 but it had plenty left in it.

@@GillyBikes The thing with Benelli they tend to pop up now & again & then disappear . The appeared around the turn of the century , after what seemed a long absence in the U.K. flogging twist & go scooters . Then they disappeared until a few years ago & now they are having machines said to be Italian influenced ,manufactured in China . These machines have been well received , but I still have a feeling they like Malaguti could disappear again & resurface many years later . I don’t have these doubts ,with the likes of Chinese built bikes for Japanese motorcycle companies like Honda ,Suzuki & Yamaha .as I know they are more likely to stick around .

Going back a few years I think they struggled for money but now they are part of the keeway group so financially their future looks very good.

@@GillyBikes I hope that will be the case, as these Chinese built Benellis , look to be better built & more reliable ,than any that were built in Italy under that Brand name , & more realistically priced . 👍
