I think the stroker with a ported head and good cam should make one HP per cube easily.

I got a 4.7l stroker in my xj. I think it was rated at 240hp and 285 tq. That's with everything stock but i got ripp mods ignition and bigger injectors. For some reason it developed death wobble after the engine install so I'm waiting on more funding to order a new track bar bracket and brace. Imma go on and put in aftermarket front axle upper control arm bushings on the axle side. Your engine should be over 300 easy

They make a rust converter that reacts with the iron ions to form ferric tannate, a somewhat porous blue-black film that can be painted over like it's primer. Stuff's like magic

That evaporust is good stuff! I’ve used their thermocure treatment in the cooling system and it works great!

I've read that the dented in spot on the downpipe is for emissions to heat the cat faster and comes from factory like that. Always thought it was stupid lol.

You need Por-15 Dex. You can just paint right over it! Also, in the future you need to build a gift/merch shop. People will flock to your locality!

I almost did a stroker a few years back, I decided against it as the cost vs what you get isn't worth it, let me explain , 4k is the basic cost more or less to get to 270hp with a 4.0 stroker . You could swap a 4.2 atlas for 1500$ and get 270hp right out the box . And if you want to add power after that , throw a turbo at it and 550hp on pump gas is possible. With a 4k budget you could kswap it .more power from a lighter engine , my point is, the 4.0 is a old design that has many limitations, you can swap in several different motors that are lighter weight and power starts where the 4.0 tops out .

theres a build on youtube with a 4.0 they got it to over 600 horses and 400 on the dyno with just a small turbo a log style intake and bigger injectors though on the highest power build it was a hardblocked engine your mileage may vary

You're absolutely right that most parts you get these days are junk. I'm lucky if a water pump lasts 5 years. I got myself a Gibson GP400S-C - Performance Stainless Steel Ceramic Coated Short Tube Exhaust Header. 5.5 years and still solid. Even after a few severe death wobble instances.

Ospho, Ospho is the best. Ospho is phosphoric acid, rust is iron oxide. Phosphoric acid rips the oxygen molecules away from the iron molecules and replaces it with phosphorus molecules forming a trivalent bond creating iron phosphate. Iron phosphate does not like to turn back into iron oxide, and you can prime and paint it less than 24 hours after treatment.

Try this stuff Dex it's what we use up here in the Great White North , Rust converter brush it on the rust and it turns to Primer and stops the rust !!! Just a thought

Try ospho made by skyco. It is a rust converter. I used it on my 01xj. Converts the rust so you can paint over it. I get mine at Ace Hardware. The videos are great keep it up.

Remove the melted aluminium from the cylinder bore with hydrochloric acid mate. They do that with 2 stroke engines when they don’t run enough oil in the mixture and the piston melts at the exhaust port in the barrel or cylinder

Rubberized undercoating sound amazing but it’s one of the worst things that have ever happened to automobiles. It literally traps moisture behind it and helps rust spread.

Looking like a great start. I had an idea about the exhaust. You probably already know this, but if you use a cheap aftermarket header for the 00,01, you can run true dual exhaust off of those headers. I have a complete exhaust like this that came off a wreck I bought. I bet it would sound amazing on that 5.0! I love watching your videos, I always learn something, so thanks again!

Next time you want to spray away rust, you muriatic acid. It’s really nasty stuff. I recommend a respirator when you spray it and have your doors open. I used it on my rusty flat deck trailer. Metal got shinny clean

Take and get a durango throttle body cut intake and put the intake piece from the durango intake and weld it in the cherokee intake after you cut the outlined part of the durango intake and weld it in It makes a pretty noticeable deference on the jeep stroker motors If you dont understand how i explained lol i didnt explain it the best There is a video on you tube

Muratic acid will melt the aluminum off of the cylinder walls and won’t hurt the cast iron. Muratic acid is what funny car teams use when they melt a piston.

start buying rust mort the shit is amazeing all you do is spray it on and it will oxidize the metal and stop the rust right in it tracks it also por 15 if you don't mind using a brush now i have used both i normally use rust mort than por than some type of paint or breathable bedliner i for got what its called but its like bed liner but its like the oily stuff it never hardens but it give a black soft layer and i normally just hit it one or twice a year

when i did my exhaust the downpipe had the same dent in it. i read up they did that from the factory not 100% sure why

Why wouldn't you try and fix the rust problems more reliable. If you're going to do that kind of work. Either fix the problems correctly or pick a better jeep to start with. That makes me cringe when I see people do work like this. To each his own I guess...lol.
