The perfect OWB for conceal carry?

I conceal carry with a OWB holster. I find it the most comfortable way for me. A friend to me about a company " Upper Hand Holsters ". I got in touch with the owner and he was kind enough to send me a couple holster to review ( one for my P365 and one for my G19 ). I alternated between the 2 for 3 weeks and WOW. These are the most comfortable holsters i ve wore. They conceal better than a OWB should. If you do not have a comfortable holster try Upper Hand Holsters. If your holster isn t comfortable to carry , your prob not carrying as often as you should be. We can t pick and choose when we have to defend ourselves, so we need to have a comfortable holster that allows us to always carry. I will put a link to their website below. I picked up (well delivered) A Upper Hand Holster for my EDC Shield 40 and truly love it! I have a drawer full of holsters and this is my favorite and most comfortable. Conceals great!

Your welcome buddy. I always found owb holsters much more comfortable , but they just didn t conceal very good. I love what upper hand did to their owb holsters. That deep curve makes all the difference. It sits so close to you and you can tell it is well thought out. There is 2 companies that are my go to owb holsters for conceal. Good info about standard OWB Kydex belt loops sitting so far off the body. Comfort is essential for EDC.

Wanted to say thanks for this. I just ordered a n OWB for my Glock 26 and I got those speed clips you showed. Really have been looking for a very tight/close fit OWB for awhile. Caught their 'all black sale' too so nice savings there. Look forward to it coming in.

I looked at Vedder, Tulster and ended up buying and ordering this OWB Holster today 04/14/23 for concealed carry for my Glock 43x because I find AIWB holsters very uncomfortable. Thanks for helping me make an intelligent buying decision. SUBSCRIBED!!!

That is awesome man. It is pretty amazing how far holsters have come. I ve tried a lot of different holsters and owb is the most comfortable way for me. Now we have some owb holsters that are comfortable and made for concealment. Glad u got a awesome holster. Many people don t realize just how important a comfortable holster is. If it isn t comfortable , you won t wear it as often as you should. That one time you don t carry could be the time your life is in the balance. Congrats on an awesome holster

I have a 43x too. How do you like the holster? Is comfortable, good retention & concealment?

@krakenjunkremoval hey buddy, yes i find it very comfortable and conceals good. I just find a owb more comfortable and barely notice it any more. Hope that helps bud

I’ve tried most of them and upper hand is by far my favorite holster. Don’t even know it’s there and conceals excellent

Upper Hand is great for concealment, especially Compact size guns. The Concealment Solutions Cobra is outstanding as well, IMO even better for sub-compacts like the Shield.

Yeah I think most people don't realize the importance of a good quality concealed carry holster. If a holster is not comfortable to carry then you won't carry as often as you should. I never found the inside the waistband holster to be very comfortable but I'm a bigger guy. But the new concealed carry outside the waistband holsters are pretty impressive

Great video. I just got the Contour with standard loops. The loops are designed for 1.5, 1.75 and 2.0 inch belts. I use 1.5 belts and there is too much space and wobble. When I draw the holster slides up. Tulster does not make a dedicated 1.5” standard loop. I was going to get a 2” belt but it will not fit most jeans and shorts. I’m going to order the 1.5”wing loops. Tulster needs to make a 1.5” standard loop. The 3 sized loop is garbage. Tulster makes awesome holsters but the Contour need to get rid of the 3 belt sized loop .

That is awesome. It is pretty cool how far things have came. OWB holster use to be pretty much an open carry thing. There are more and more companies making owb holsters for concealment now. Upper hand and Tenicor are my fav right now. I have recently started leaning more towards the tenicor arx ( owb ) holster. I realy like the 2 piece design that has the belt loops part of thee holster. Making it much stronger and makes it sit closer to your body. Thanks for commenting and Happy New Years!

I hate IWB. I only carry with OWB. The problem I have is finding clothing that will fully conceal with OWB carry. Any suggestions?

Nice video, I bought a neptune concealment kydex holster for my FNX 45 Tactical (huge I know 🤣) hoping to be able to conceal it with a OWB holster wearing a garment over my shirt. It came with the regular belt loops and it sticks too far out from my body so it prints heavy. I was wondering if you think that getting these speed clips could fix the issue?

Hey buddy, hope your having awesome New Years. I just looked up their holsters and i ve had one very similar. It is kinda hard to say but the regular owb clips ( and speed clips ) like the ones Upper Hand holsters use should help some. The aren t as wide and help the holster fit closer to your body. I have a friend that uses a hair dryer to modify his holster if not fitting just right. I like for the curve of the holster to be aggressive and a little heat can help you shape it a little if needed. Be careful though, you can make a mess if you aren t careful. The FNX 45 tac is a sweet pistol and a owb should make it much more comfortable. It is a little big for concealment ( but much easier in winter with a jacket or button down ). I have gotten to love my 43x mos because it is SOOOOO comfortable to conceal. I have several friends that only conceal with bigger pistols like G17 or G19. You can carry that FNX concealed but it may take you a little getting use to it and changing the clips will prob help. Sorry this so long lol

I'll be going with these guys for my glock 21. The only issue I see is with the speed clips. If someone who's not supposed to have your gun grabs it, it's almost guaranteed those clips will break and then what..?

Yeah i see your point. I switch back and forth and have come to use the standard clips mainly. The standard clips are much stronger than you might think. I asked the owner this very question and he said that it was tested. I don t remember the exact pounds it can hold but it was up there. The speed clips are nice but the regular clips are stronger and that what i use now ( for the reason you brought up ). It is so awesome how far holsters have come. I have always found OWB holsters the most comfortable but they don t conceal as well. Now they make the OWB holsters specifically for conceal carry , so they conceal so much better.

Yeah man i am sorry about that. I am still pretty new to all this and should have considered that. OWB conceal carry holsters are still pretty new. I ve been trying a lot of different ones and Upper hand and tenicor are my favorites. Lately , the Tenicor ARX has become my favorite. I need to do a video on it. I’ve tried to iwb but it just doesn’t work for me…it pressed on my sciatic nerve …very painful. And I’m not appendix carrying…too much going on down there to point a gun at lol. So, I owb with a bravo concealment holster w/ the pancake loops…sucks that little p365 right into my body. Disappears under my t-shirt

Lol yeah not into appendix either. I tried iwb and just isn't comfortable. A good owb is much more comfortable. The 43x mos and 365 are my favorite conceal carry. Lot of rounds in a small accurate package.

I think you'll have a little bit of wear but it's very minor and I don't even notice any on mine.

i believe they come with a very slight cant. Depending on the model there are adjustments.
