Description
The Aurora A28 has a clear transparent polycarbonate case that allows the UV light to be useful and practical. The A28 comes with 2 options on the front LED - CREE XP-L for high output needs, and Nichia 219C for high CRI purposes. The side white reading light is also neutral white. The Aurora A28 has a unique feature inside which is about the GITD battery holder.

Front LED
1. Momentary ON: Press and hold (Turbo), release to turn off
2. Constant ON: Double click
Switch mode: Click to cycle thru Low-Med-High-Turbo
Memory: When the light worked at a mode over 3 minutes, the mode will be memorized and turned on from that mode next time.
Step down: The light will step down to 300/100 lumens in 90 seconds when working at Turbo/High mode due to the massive heat generated.
Side LED
Turn ON
1) Triple-click
a. A28R/A28W: Red; b. A28U: White reading light
Switch mode
a. A28R/A28W: Click to cycle through Red-Red beacon-Red flash
b. A28U: Low-High (White)
2) Quad click
a. A28R: UV, click to cycle through power Low-High
b. A28U: UV, click to turn off
c. A28W: White reading light, click to cycle through Low-High
Turn Off, applied for all modes
a. In any mode, long press 0.3s
b. Click to turn off when the light works in any mode for over 3 minutes.

FYI, there's now a Gen 2 version of the A28 which has 2 buttons, 3 side lights, increased battery, a magnetic clip, and a moonlight mode. It pretty much addresses all of your cons.

@@urbandadcarry The only other upgrade that I wished Rovyvon introduced on the Gen2 is made the tailcap magnetic either with a add-on magnet like the Gen3 A1~A8 or a more permanent solution.

A video showing how you modded your A8 to add the glow tube and tape would be great!

The key is to remove the ss bezel. it's glued, so you have to heat it first, then unscrew it. After that, the next thing is to somehow slide the internal out slowly. I tore the rubber button ): Sorry I don't think I can/want to take it out again to prevent further tear. After that, it's just like a blank page, you can freely "mod" to your heart's content.
