What a wonderful interview. I had the biggest smile on my face when she was talking about the improvisation process of the football field scene. It’s one of my absolute favourite scenes and to hear how it came to be in such detail was amazing to listen to. Rojda is very insightful and clearly has such a passion for her craft. What a joy this was to watch.

I really like how y'all interviewed most cast. It's nice to hear all of their stories come together. How they reference each other and their relationship with the others, and we get to hear it from all sides. And each person's thoughts and process is so different. And it's like putting a puzzle piece together taking little snippets from everyone's journey and seeing their experience as whole. Very often in interviews, only the main cast get's called on, or the leads. Very rarely is everyone brought in to share their experiences. And it's such nice that y'all have it separately and not together. So each cast gets a space of their own to share their feelings. Rather than the possibility of being talked over, or have the lead cast lead the direction of the conversation. This feels more authentic, having the opportunity to hear from each of them individually. So thanks!

I also never experienced a fandom that involved not only the main cast, but also directors, screenwriters, etc. in all of the hype and tagged them in fanart and also praised side characters and even only actors that played extras, who were just in the background 🤯 It's something so special and should be brought up more often. I'm so happy that PRP also interviewed people like Rojda.

Dear Chloe, I am a big fan of YR, that brought me here. And now, after watching several of your interviews, I am a big fan of YOU. You are such a well-prepared, thoughtful, respectful and empathetic questioner, and I feel even a stone would actually open up to you and show their soft side. You have the talent to build trust immediately and give people a chance to elaborate and shine. I am truly impressed with your skills. THANK YOU!🥰🥰🥰

For me, Rojda captured what being a teenager is really like. It is complicated and interactions have complications. As an older LGBTQ, I was touched by Willehelm's story. His journey is one many LGBTQ people go through in high school. Living in the 60's and 70's being gay was a no-no. Trying to find yourself in this time frame was almost impossible. Rojda however, gave us a glimpse of what is possible and why we need to find someone we can trust. Young Royals made me aware of the walls I put up to maintain a front that people accepted. Willhem's story I understand because even in non-royal life some families put on a facade to maintain an image that is a lie. This takes a toll on the children because we grow up not knowing who we are, what we are, or how to be us. I was 55 (18 with 37 years of experience) before I was able to be comfortable enough to tell some people I was gay. It has taken 8 years more for me to be able to accept myself and believe in me. The football scene resonates because, for most of us, everything is fake except for that one person who is real. Sometimes that one person has to be first us.

Young royals is just one of the only peices of cinema that I can truly say IS a masterpiece and is pretty revolutionary in a lot of ways that isn’t obvious but that’s the best part, the people behind this show think about the details deeply.

Wow Rojda!! You're becoming my favorite now. My heart was beating fast when she explained the football field scene. I was smiling like a crazy person here. The football field scene is a favorite scene for most of us in the fandom. We got the scene because Rojda let that collaboration happen. Rojda I love the way you explained the improvisation!!!! Rojda made the series this big because she made the actors work WITH her instead of working FOR her. And Edvin let me kiss that brain of yours for the improvisation!! When is Edvin's interview coming ? Great interviewer!!

Chloe, I have really enjoyed your interviews with the YR cast and crew. Great questions and great answers. Thanks to Rojda & her excellent points about representation. I’m a mom (ie, an older viewer 😊) and I’ve loved YR so much; I’ve seen many teen shows in the US, and this is so far above those - relating to writing, directing, acting, soundtrack, & more. I hope it will get seen more in the US & Canada. The representation, the story, the casting, the integrity of the process - more people need to be exposed to this important work. Fingers crossed for season 2 & more! Kelly . xx #YoungRoyalsMom🥰 (sorry I deleted my prior reply to add to it - I’m glad you like the hashtag!)

so goodduh. all of the yr interviews such quality. i keep asking myself why young royals stands out among similar stories. omar and edvin chemistry aside, i give a lot of credit to the writing and the directing, and notice that both are women. i imagine it a rare combination and hope more stories from that perspective can be told in the future as a consequence of young royals spectacular success.

Excellent, thoughtful, insightful interview, as always Chloe! Love it ❤️. Rojda is fascinating and I feel the intensity of her purposeful intentions and her explanation of her technical process is gold. As you pointed out, we don’t often get to venture down that rabbit tunnel, treasure is usually there 🥰. I REALLY appreciate that she highlighted two things: 1) she mentioned contacts as one of the most important parts of filmmaking and 2) the creative collaboration between the different departments being the magic ingredients to create the success of the story. Recognizing these key highlights are what make a great leader: she clearly is. You’ve interviewed nearly everyone so far. I think it’s time for chats with Edvin and Lisa, don’t you? 😁

Thanks for these great interviews. I really appreciated all the aspects that were emphasized by the director and all those little feminine touches and points of view, in some scenes. There was only one thing I didn't like: the mistakes in editing. They distract me from the scene and if I see them how did, those who do this as a job, fail to see them? However, this practically does not detract from the series which is one of the most beautiful ever created in recent years. Thanks again 🙏✨ ♥ ️

.....the vampires as the nobility sucking the commoners dry. Everybody who just happens to live in Mystic Falls suffers. 13 REASONS WHY, in my view, also is very good, raw, insightful. Fun thing: the ad youtube threw at me after I finished watching the interview was for something against acne.....I am always torn between skipping those stupid annoying ads and let them finish (with my earphones set aside) because I have learned that those posting stuff only get paid a little bit if viewers finish watching them I liked how Rojda emphasized that making a movie is a group effort and highlighted the work of everybody. The best are created when all work togehter as a team upping each other. I felt similar

This was very interesting. Thanks for doing and posting this interview. A long time ago I came across a study finding that middle class kids grow up most freely, while there is a lot of pressure on upper as well as lower class kids to keep in line. I think this is true. The remark concerning Kurdish villages also was interesting. Back in school in Germany we read historical dramas - love between nobles and commoners was a big topic in them, and Theodor Fontane's Effi Briest is all about an honour code destroying several lifes. What I get a bit annoyed about is American teen stuff being talked down in YR fandom ( do not get me wrong - YR is fantastic and all the world shoud watch - in my view 'finally something to put Sweden on the map' should be a tagline. Moviewise, I mean. But I am sure that in Sweden, like in any other country, there is a lot of trash on TV - you always have to search for the good stuff. Finding SMALLVILLE about 10 years ago was a turning point in my life. On the one hand, it took me back to feeling like 16 and remembering what I thought and wanted back then, On the other, it introduced me to social media, which I was not born with. It also has a very alive fandom still going strong. I also love THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, and I think there is a lot of raw truth in it. Just imagine, for example,

One group truly underrepresented, from what is see, and talked down by everybody demanding respect for their own group, is old people. You still are free to joke about them on social media (well, maybe not in a Kurdish village or a Swedish elite boarding school). Not talking about mysef, but really old ones, like those having to live in the purgatory called 'care homes', in some of which I happen to have worked for money during the last years. Saw Karen Gillan is on it. Finally a link to my favourite fan production so far, a clip encapsulating, in my view, the love story perfectly in two minutes and a half. I keep replaying it daily and it always makes me feel better. It's just so beautiful: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b6liaq2em57JZ2g.html
