I had just finished watching petscop for the first time when I came across this video, and I gotta say it cleared a lot of things without imposing a theory or being three hours long. So thank you for covering this in a way that is easy to understand and also mentioning that taking a deep dive into the petscop sub reddit can be helpful to understand more details and theories about the game, it really helped me to form my own theories about petscop :)

The most important part of the iceberg - Petscop is not an ARG, neither is Welcome Home! Secret videos do not an ARG make! Your English is very good, people shouldn't be mean about your tone of voice.

I think "Petscop is a documentary" refers to the theory that the game Petscop was created to document all the events that we see play out in game, though I suppose the series of videos are also documentaries in their own right. It's somewhat meta. Regardless, I really enjoyed this video. I was very interested in Petscop when it was still active, and it was nice to revisit the series through your video. I sort of wish it hadn't ended in such an unsatisfying way, but after looking through Tony's Twitter, perhaps it was better this way.

Oh yeah, good catch on that "petscop being created to document events" thing, didn't think about that one. It does make sense with Rainer using it to show events relating to his family and primarily Marvin's actions. Good one :D

Okay but something I never have heard of before, and something that only really hit me now, is that the rebirthing thing might be a parallell to conversion therapy. If the theory that Paul is trans and Care was Paul as a kid, and how the rebirthing process is basically meant to turn someone into someone they are not, like Belle = Tiara, who knows maybe the rebirthing process being used on Care is meant to symbolize Paul having conversion therapy to make him become Care again? Probably a stretch but since there are some possible LGBT parallells it doesnt feel impossible

While i do think the series falls more in line with a "Forced Transition" theory, this one is great too!

Personally I dont like the concept of forced transition as a theory since it can very easily lean into transphobic conspiracy theories, but that is still a valid interpretation. Either way the way i see the series and the trans theory is that Care/Paul was forced into an identity that they didnt identify with, in my case i think it feels like the adults trying to force Paul into being cis and going by the name Care by using conversion therapy, while ignoring that they are hurting him by doing it.

never connected the dots with trans stuff, i guess i just never really got the idea of rebirthing as lgbt stuff (prolly because i live somewhere where lgbt aint promoted and "woke" or the left reigns LoL). Cool idea tho, some things wont work with the theory but thats literally just how it goes with theories. Have a nice day.

@@blank-3403 yeah lol, tbf i didnt connect it until very recently either, so i can see how some people might not see it until it's pointed out to them. personally i think it's a pretty sad theory as well, since it's a thing that is far too real in some cases, so i can also see how some other people who have thought about it that way might not want to talk about it either

Yeah, I didn't mention that, probably should've. The reason I didn't is due to it not being really agreed what this means, with some thinking its literal and the game has been running for 17 years, and others thinking it's not (myself included) with even the writer, presumably Rainer, stating that that seems dubious. in my opinion, it's most likely referring to Belle's entrapment in quitter's room in some way, but I'm not sure.
