Jean is my favorite character but I'm concerned because in the reboot of the X-Men titles she's not in any of them but I know there is a phoenix title so there is hope.

Jean Grey is still alive and so is the Phoenix, They are both dying, but they're still alive. And if they resurrect, the phoenix is more for rebirth than a resurrection Or they revived the phoenix instead of resurrecting it.

I don't want the Krakoa era to be forgotten. Krakoan era brought back mutants from oblivion. Enemies became allies (Apocalypse, Exodus, Madelyne Pryor to name a few)

It was a good issue,it should have been released before the other titles instead of us feeling like they skip those details . I was wondering if they will tackle Shaw at some point and what will his fate be . That cover with Psylocke 08:58 is dope .

I like how Charles thinks Rachel is the next best thing if jean is gone and they need the Phoenix, but I don't think the phoenix echo will be enough if they wanna beat Dominion

I read this last night from my LCS and was very impressed out how detailed and well-written it was in explaining how Mother Righteous was captured by Xavier. Glad to see Xavier can be very cold and calculating - he has to be if he wants mutants to survive against ORCHIS and the Dominion. The highlight for me was seeing Sebastian Shawn and Selene force feeding Mother Righteous a major slice of humble pie.

Hopefully Mystique leaving Irene doesn't destroy her relationship with Nightcrawler. She just got him back, it would be stupid if the writers made her turn on him again.

Based on the trailer released by Marvel, Charle's school became a priwon for Prisoner X. Who do you think is Prisoner X? Is it Moira? I hate how the writers made Moira a villain. Everything became a mess after Hickman left. Marvel could have contracted him as a long time writer for X-Men the way they did with Chris Claremont.

yeah id say this book really ought to have been released either after the 1st or 2nd issue of the HoX/PoX ones, I think took a bit too long and got some people disgruntled and confused.

@kylecocciante4362 the new X-books revealed a few days ago that there will be a Phoenix solo book and showed Cyclops as a part of the cast of the main X-Men title. It’s not clear if the Phoenix solo will be about Jean, but she wasn’t shown in any of the other team rosters. Maybe she goes solo 😢

They will be SPLIT. Cyclops is in a team based IN Alaska while there is a book titled Phoenix but no other details so far

All of the 3 new X-Men titles announced will not take place in Krakoa. One will be in Chicago, one in New Orleans and the other in Anchorage. If none of the X-titles take place on Krakoa, I am dropping all the X-titles. I'm not interested in anything not related to Krakoa or Arakko post Fall of X.

@@MatthewLoh-ru1mwI will if Krakoa and Arakko stop being featured. I have dropped all the X-titles before after AvX and didn't restart buying them until Hickman took over a few years ago. I have ZERO interest in the X-titles going back to the same old boring status quo living in bases/mansion and fighting crime.

@@rjhemedes to answer your question: it turns out in the upcoming relaunch, they will not be going back to the mansion as it's now under control by the US government and it has been turned into a prison, and it's now holding some called "Inmate X", presumed to be Xavier, and Persephone, the villain who resurrected Logan in "Return of Wolverine, is the person in charge of it. As for the latter, no, the X-men are not exactly fighting crime but are rescuing mutants who are now more feared and hated than ever

@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Thanks for the update. With the exception of not having access to the mansion, its basically back to the same status quo mutants held before the Krakoan Era. Boring. For sure I will drop the X-titles unless they have one(s) that tie in with any remnant of Krakoa or Arakko.

@@rjhemedes yes, they are not on Krakoa anymore. However, there are now 3 main X-men teams: one in Alaska (Cyclops' team), one in Lousiana (led by Rogue and Gambit), and the last will be in Chicago (led by Emma and Kate/Kitty). As for Arakko, nothing, as the X-books will completely move away from Krakoa and Arakko!

There's a theory that Jean will spent eons in the Holy Egg Evolving. When it hatches she will become WPOTC. Highest Point of power in Marvel. its gonna be very Chaotic. Jean vs enigma while Avengers and X men team up to defeat Engmas Minions. And also, Scarlet witch and Storm guarding Jean as she evolve in the Egg. OMG. I just Hope it's true. Cause Clairmont stated that Jean is The Holy Grail in Marvel And we are in for a ride.

I agree. It's keep getting used a lot of times and it's just getting old. At least do something different like not her for dying but have Save the ex minimum darkest hour when they're fighting against the A.I God. They're gonna revive her with the power of the Phoenix and then pretty much Jean gonna take her revenge on mother rachess.

It's become reductive and repetitive it used to be intriguing but it's always the dumbest ways in which she perishes this whole storyline feels like a way to make gene become obsolete again and for professor Xavier to once again leave the X-Men, that's original. I wish they could just keep her Phoenix not make her go crazy not make her go mad and just be omnipotent and have a great life

There will be 12 mutants who will be competing but art covers and synopsis of the issues are often a jebate and it turns out to be something else . Who knows,maybe none of these 12 characters will succeed him but it might be someone else entirely .

I’m not gonna lie this storyline seems kinda stupid. They keep weakening the Phoenix for narrative purposes just because they can’t have it act in character or else it would solve problems in a far less contrived way. The Phoenix doesn’t need to be resurrected, it’s the Phoenix it should be able to do that on its own. If it wanted to bring Jean back, or if Jean wanted to tap into those abilities and bring herself back, she should be able to.

Well, that is not what the X-office wants, so no. The reason why they "nerfed" the Phoenix so to speak, is to keep it from being a Deus ex Machina solution to all their problems

They are little going back to the status quo. We have to recognize the that upper management at the these companies have no idea what to do with the properties they own. They aren't fans. It's a business opportunity to squeeze money out of. They are likely do 90's xmen, people like that. But they're do a rushed soulless version for the a cash grab avd don't understand why it will fail.
